Preclinical 1H MRS Study of a Porcine Model Shows Evidence and Mechanisms for Acute Neuronal Injury in Neonatal Cardiopulmonary Bypass (CPB) Surgery

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, Volume 96, Issue 2, Page 557-567, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Purpose Congenital heart disease affects 1% of US births, with some infants requiring cardiothoracic surgery under cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB). Optimal surgical parameters to minimize neuronal injury are unknown. We used serial 1H MRS in a neonatal CPB porcine model to assess acute neuronal damage and associated injury mechanisms.

Optimization of postoperative hypotension correction in thoracic surgery

open access: yesИнновационная медицина Кубани, 2019
Introduction. Arterial hypotension is the reasonable cause for intravenous injections of crystalloid solutions. However, as far as this statement is fair in the patients that underwent extensive scheduled thoracic operations at that moment is not defined.

Successful replacement of the urinary bladder following exteriorisation during bite‐induced scrotal trauma in a domestic rabbit (Oryctolagus cuniculus)

open access: yesVeterinary Record Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 3, August 2026.
Abstract Scrotal exteriorisation of abdominal viscera is rarely reported in domestic rabbits and constitutes a surgical emergency. This report describes traumatic inguinoscrotal herniation of the urinary bladder in a domestic rabbit (Oryctolagus cuniculus), a 4‐month‐old entire male, following bite‐induced scrotal avulsion during territorial aggression.

Effects of Different Crystalloid Solutions on Hemodynamics, Peripheral Perfusion, and the Microcirculation in Experimental Abdominal Sepsis

open access: yes, 2016
Background: Crystalloid solutions are used to restore intravascular volume in septic patients, but each solution has limitations. The authors compared the effects of three crystalloid solutions on hemodynamics, organ function, microcirculation, and ...

A Rare Case of Cutaneous Crystal‐Storing Histiocytosis With Kappa Light Chain Restriction and Unusual BCL6 Expression

open access: yesJournal of Cutaneous Pathology, Volume 53, Issue 8, Page 682-686, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Crystal‐storing histiocytosis (CSH) is a rare histopathologic phenomenon characterized by the accumulation of crystalline material within histiocytes, most often associated with lymphoplasmacytic or plasma cell neoplasms. Cutaneous involvement is uncommon and may present diagnostic challenges.
