Sex‐specific ethylene responses drive floral sexual plasticity in Cannabis sativa

open access: yesThe Plant Journal, Volume 125, Issue 3, February 2026.
SUMMARY Cannabis sativa L. exhibits pronounced sexual plasticity in which both XX and XY plants can undergo floral phenotypic sex reversal in response to ethylene modulation, yet the underlying molecular mechanisms remain poorly defined. Here, we present the most extensive multi‐omic analysis of ethylene‐induced sex change in C.

Using Matching Methods to Link Social and Physical Analyses for Sustainability Planning

open access: yesEcology and Society, 2010
Sustainability planning requires an understanding of social and physical systems and their interactions. However, there is a mismatch between the methods of the social sciences and those of the natural sciences. Although there have been numerous attempts

Copolymerization of Hydrophilic and Hydrophobic Monomers in Water Assisted by Cyclodextrins

open access: yesNano Select, Volume 6, Issue 11, November 2025.
Make it soluble! The formation of inclusion complex between cyclodextrins and a hydrophobic monomer derived from cholic acid improves its solubility in water and allows a successful copolymerization with acrylamide in water. The resulting polymer shows a UCST behavior in water.

Abnormal oscillation modes in a waning light bridge

open access: yes, 2016
A sunspot acts as a waveguide in response to the dynamics of the solar interior; the trapped waves and oscillations could reveal its thermal and magnetic structures.
