Few-Shot Image Classification Based on Swin Transformer + CSAM + EMD

open access: yesElectronics
In few-shot image classification (FSIC), the feature extraction module of the traditional convolutional neural networks is often constrained by the local nature of the convolutional kernel. As a result, it becomes challenging to handle global information

Prediction of the Behaviour of Monopiles Under Drained Two‐Way Cyclic Lateral Loading in Sand

open access: yesInternational Journal for Numerical and Analytical Methods in Geomechanics, Volume 49, Issue 16, Page 3696-3712, November 2025.
ABSTRACT The monopile is considered as one of the preferred geotechnical foundations for the offshore wind energy converter; therefore, its cyclic behaviour is one of the major concerns in the design. In the current design approaches, the prediction of two‐way cyclic behaviour mainly depends on empirical equations, in which the specific site conditions

Impact of Native Oxides on Bonding Interface Microstructure in Deformation‐Based Solid‐State Additive Manufacturing

open access: yescMat, Volume 2, Issue 3, September 2025.
ABSTRACT In solid‐state metal additive manufacturing, oxide removal is crucial for high‐quality bonding, yet its impact remains unclear. In the article, the influence of oxides on the bonding interface by using cold spray additive manufacturing and leveraging diverse deformation mechanisms of high‐entropy alloys is revealed.

Plasma DNMT1 Activity for Assessing Tumor Burden and Predicting Neoadjuvant Therapy Response in Breast Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 31, August 21, 2025.
In this work, a detection method is presented for the activity of plasma DNA methyltransferase 1 (DNMT1), namely DNMT1 Identification by Variable Activity (DIVA). DIVA can detect plasma DNMT1 at levels as low as 10−7 U mL−1, also it successfully evaluated tumor burden and predicted the neoadjuvant therapy responses of breast cancer patients.

The diagnostic accuracy of different fetal blood sample lactate cutoffs in labor, utilizing the StatStrip Xpress® lactate‐meter: A population‐based observational study

open access: yesActa Obstetricia et Gynecologica Scandinavica, Volume 104, Issue 8, Page 1496-1504, August 2025.
A fetal blood sample lactate cutoff of ≥5.2 mmol/L balances the need for a high sensitivity for adverse neonatal outcomes with an acceptable number of needed interventions. Abstract Introduction A recent study recommended 5.2 mmol/L as a cutoff for fetal blood sample (FBS) lactate in labor for the StatStrip Lactate®/Lactate Xpress® lactate meter.

Against Human Content Moderation: Algorithms without Trauma

open access: yesJournal of Applied Philosophy, Volume 42, Issue 4, Page 1285-1300, August 2025.
ABSTRACT This paper explores the morality of human content moderation. It focuses on content moderation of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) as it takes place in commercial digital platforms, broadly understood. I select CSAM for examination because there is a widespread and uncontroversial consensus around the need to remove it, which furnishes the ...
