Vibrio parahaemolyticus is one of the major pathogens responsible for vibriosis and zoonotic infections in teleosts, marine invertebrates, and also humans through consumption of contaminated or unprocessed seafood. Emergence of resistance against current accessible antibiotics and spread to the food chain and environment necessitate the development of ...

Temperature-driven CsgA-enhanced mutant enable distinct self-assembly
International Journal of Biological MacromoleculesFunctional coating materials have found extensive applications across various technological fields. However, the effectiveness of these coating depends critically on the choice of an appropriate medium. In this study, we developed an advanced "molecular glue", a CsgA variant known as CsgA-pro, which can serve as a versatile medium for biotherapy.

Comparison of the QTDT Analysis for IgE in the CSGA Data Set
Genetic Epidemiology, 2001Over the past few years at least 13 transmission/disequilibrium test (TDT)‐based tests have been developed for quantitative (Q) traits for the assessment of association or linkage in the presence of the other. A total of six of these QTDT methods were used to analyze log10IgE in the Collaborative Study on the Genetics of Asthma data set.

Nonparametric Linkage Regression I: Combined Caucasian CSGA and German Genome Scans for Asthma
Genetic Epidemiology, 2001In this paper we applied the nonparametric linkage (NPL) regression approach to the combined Caucasian genome scan data from the Collaborative Study on the Genetics of Asthma (CSGA) and German family studies to search for regions of the genome that exhibit evidence for linkage to putative asthma‐predisposing genes.

Biofouling, 2014
The bacterial biofilm is a complex environment of cells, which secrete a matrix made of various components, mainly polysaccharides and proteins. An understanding of the precise role of these components in the stability and dynamics of biofilm architecture would be a great advantage for the improvement of anti-biofilm strategies.

Protein & Peptide Letters, 2013
We characterized the formation of amyloid fibers by two peptides derived from the CsgA sequence: R5 (133- 151) corresponding to the whole repeating unit R5 and a truncated form of this peptide called R5T (134-143). In the presence of either of the two peptides: an increase in the fluorescence intensity of Thioflavin T was observed; a shift of the ...
