Case report: PSMA PET/CT addresses the correct diagnosis in a patient with metastatic prostate cancer despite negative core biopsies and mpMRI. A diagnostic challenge

open access: yesFrontiers in Oncology, 2023
This is a case of [68 Ga]Ga-Prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA)-11 PET/CT in a 73-years old patient presenting high Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) levels despite both multi-parametric magnetic resonance imaging (mpMRI) and 12-core saturation ...

Noise Characterization and Filtering in the MicroBooNE Liquid Argon TPC

open access: yes, 2017
The low-noise operation of readout electronics in a liquid argon time projection chamber (LArTPC) is critical to properly extract the distribution of ionization charge deposited on the wire planes of the TPC, especially for the induction planes.

Evolution of locally excited avalanches in semiconductors

open access: yes, 2010
We show that semiconductor avalanche photodiodes can exhibit diminutive amplification noise during the early evolution of avalanches. The noise is so low that the number of locally excited charges that seed each avalanche can be resolved.
