Well-being and CTRA gene expression.
(A) Relationship between MHC-SF hedonic and eudaimonic well-being domain scores (2-d representation). (B) Relationship between psychological well-being and social well-being scores (the 2-d eudaimonic domain within the 3-d well-being representation). (C)

Cubic Rank Transmuted Akash Distribution: Model, Properties, and Applications in Cancer Research
In this paper, a new form of generalized Akash distribution is made with three parameters using the cubic rank transmutation map approach. The proposed distribution undergoes an analysis of mathematical expressions for various statistical measures, including the PDF, CDF, survival function, hazard rate function, and reverse hazard function.

Stress induces the proteolysis and inactivation of CtrA.
(a) Western blots showing changes in CtrA steady-state levels following treatment of cultures with NaCl (100 mM), EtOH (4%), heat shock (40°C) or MMC (3 μg/ml). DnaK levels are shown as a control.

The obligately lichenicolous genus Abrothallus consists of approximately 50 species, almost all of which are associated with lichens having foliose, fruticose, or pendulous thalli. This paper focuses on species that grow on strap lichens (Ramalina) providing new insights into their phylogenetic relationships and distribution.

Significance Statement Contrary to expectation, NUPTs do not necessarily have a deleterious or ultimately neutral impact, nor are they necessarily purged from the genome. Instead, they can proliferate and eventually become fixed, generating new and novel genes, gene regions and regulatory elements, thereby significantly contributing to plant nuclear ...

Bacterial cell cycle and growth phase switch by the essential transcriptional regulator CtrA
Many bacteria acquire dissemination and virulence traits in G1-phase. CtrA, an essential and conserved cell cycle transcriptional regulator identified in the dimorphic alpha-proteobacterium Caulobacter crescentus, first activates promoters in late S ...

This study on red deer in a fenced Mediterranean estate found strong intra‐annual variation in fecal nitrogen, reflecting seasonal diet quality changes. Fecal nitrogen was associated with normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) from herbaceous vegetation but not with bioclimatic indices (real bioclimatic intensity [RBI], standardized ...

Structure of the ctrA promoter in S. meliloti.
A. Promoters of ctrA in C. crescentus and S. meliloti. Both promoters have two transcriptional sites (P1 and P2). In C. crescentus P2 is activated by CtrA-P while P1 is activated by GcrA and repressed by CtrA-P [20,64,72]. In S.

Extensile Active Hydrogels Driven by Living FtsZ Polymers
Upon post‐gelation activation with Mg2⁺/GTP, living FtsZ polymers treadmill inside a polyacrylamide network, generating extensile internal stresses that drive isotropic swelling and softening. Interpreting mechanics against a Flory–Rehner swelling baseline separates passive dilution from genuine activity, revealing an FR‐normalized permittivity that ...
