Imidazolate-bridged Cu(II)–Zn(II) heterodinuclear and Cu(II)–Cu(II) homodinuclear hydroperoxo complexes are generated in the reactions between imidazolate-bridged heterodinuclear and homodinuclear complexes and H2O2 in the presence of triethylamine base and characterized spectroscopically as reaction intermediate models of Cu,Zn–SOD.

The complexes formation in system Cu (II)???edds at equimolar proportional and ??Cu(II) =1??10????? ?? by method of electronic spectroscopy, was investigated. At others pH of solution formation of dimeric forms was observed. The constants of stabilities and diagram of distribution was calculated.

AbstractHomobinuclear complex (HCuL)2 (1) (H3L: N‐3‐carboxylsalicylidene‐N′‐salicylaldehyde‐1,2‐diaminoethane) was obtained from self‐organization of the reported complex HCuL, and its crystal structure was determined through X‐ray diffraction at room temperature. The crystal of complex 1 belongs to monolinic system, the space group Cc, a=2.5326(5) nm,

Thermal Splitting of Bis-Cu(II) Octaphyrin(1.1.1.1.1.1.1.1) into Two Cu(II) Porphyrins
Journal of the American Chemical Society, 2004When heated, bis-Cu(II) octaphyrin(1.1.1.1.1.1.1.1) is quantitatively split into two Cu(II) porphyrins both in solution and film states, which is accompanied by large absorption spectral changes.

On Cu(II)–Cu(II) distance measurements using pulsed electron electron double resonance
Journal of Magnetic Resonance, 2007The effects of orientational selectivity on the 4-pulse electron electron double resonance (PELDOR) ESR spectra of coupled Cu(II)-Cu(II) spins are presented. The data were collected at four magnetic fields on a poly-proline peptide containing two Cu(II) centers.

Molecular CuII‐O‐CuIIComplexes: Still Waters Run Deep
Angewandte Chemie International Edition, 2014AbstractResearch on O2activation at ligated CuIis fueled by its biological relevance and the quest for efficient oxidation catalysts. A rarely observed reaction is the formation of a CuII‐O‐CuIIspecies, which is more special than it appears at first sight: a single oxo ligand between two CuIIcenters experiences considerable electron density, and this ...

Ratiometric and selective fluorescent chemodosimeter for Cu(II) by Cu(II)‐induced oxidation
Luminescence, 2008AbstractA new rhodamine derivative, rhodamine B 4‐N,N‐dimethylaminobenzaldehyde hydrazone (1), was designed for ratiometric sensing of Cu(II) selectively. A red‐shift from 515 to 585 nm was observed in the fluorescence spectrum when Cu(II) was added to 1 in acetonitrile. Other metal ions of interest showed no ratiometric response.
