UiO‐66(Zr) metal–organic frameworks are chemically stable, biocompatible, and highly tunable nanomaterials. Their modular structure enables controlled drug delivery, multimodal bioimaging, and light‐activated photodynamic therapy, supporting integrated diagnostic and therapeutic (theranostic) applications in cancer and biomedical research.

Abstract Complexes of Ni(II), Rh(I) Pd(II), Pt(II), Au(III) and Cu(II) with 5-Amino-1,3,4-thiadiazole-2-thiol have been prepared. Probable structures have been proposed for the complexes on the basis of visible and infrared spectral and magnetic susceptibility data and results of chemical analysis.

Biophysical characterisation shows that NanX, a membrane transport protein from the major facilitator superfamily (MFS), forms both monomers and dimers after purification.
