Gaussian Filtering Using a Spherical-Radial Double Exponential Cubature
Gaussian filters use quadrature rules or cubature rules to recursively solve Gaussian-weighted integrals. Classical and contemporary methods use stable rules with a minimal number of cubature points to achieve the highest accuracy. Gaussian quadrature is

Mixed-Degree Cubature H∞ Information Filter-Based Visual-Inertial Odometry
Visual–inertial odometry is an effective system for mobile robot navigation. This article presents an egomotion estimation method for a dual-sensor system consisting of a camera and an inertial measurement unit (IMU) based on the cubature information ...

Nonlinear Model Order Reduction on Polynomial Manifolds for Computational Homogenisation Problems
ABSTRACT Model order reduction (MOR) techniques utilising nonlinear approximation spaces can search for solutions to computational homogenisation problems on low‐dimensional approximation spaces. In combination with hyperreduction techniques, this allows for computations on representative volume elements (RVEs) to be accelerated by multiple orders of ...

On Gauss-Lobatto integration on the triangle
A recent result in [2] on the non-existence of Gauss-Lobatto cubature rules on the triangle is strengthened by establishing a lower bound for the number of nodes of such rules. A method of constructing Lobatto type cubature rules on the triangle is given

Double-Layer Cubature Kalman Filter for Nonlinear Estimation
The cubature Kalman filter (CKF) has poor performance in strongly nonlinear systems while the cubature particle filter has high computational complexity induced by stochastic sampling.

Maximum Correntropy Square-Root Cubature Kalman Filter for Non-Gaussian Measurement Noise
Cubature Kalman filter (CKF) is widely used for non-linear state estimation under Gaussian noise. However, the estimation performance may degrade greatly in presence of heavy-tailed measurement noise.

Short Abstract Industrialisation has reshaped European rural areas, leading to both depopulation and, in some cases, lifestyle‐driven repopulation. Our research highlights supply‐side barriers to Alpine repopulation by unpacking the impossibilities of vacant farmhouses revitalisation. Both land transfer traditions ingrained over generation (micro‐level

Omnibus goodness‐of‐fit tests for univariate continuous distributions based on trigonometric moments
ABSTRACT We propose a new omnibus goodness‐of‐fit test based on trigonometric moments of probability‐integral‐transformed data. The test builds on the framework of the LK test introduced by Langholz and Kronmal [J. Amer. Statist. Assoc. 86 (1991), 1077–1084], but fully exploits the covariance structure of the associated trigonometric statistics.
