Synthesis and CO Oxidation Catalytic Character of High Surface Area Ruthenium Dioxide Replicated by Cubic Mesoporous Silica

Chemistry Letters, 2005
Abstract A high surface area ruthenium dioxide with partial ordered structure has been replicated by cubic Ia3d mesoporous silica, and the replica shows high catalytic activity for the oxidation of CO to CO2 at relatively low temperature.

The density and the character of dislocations in cubic and hexagonal polycrystals determined by X-ray diffraction

Materials Science and Engineering: A, 2001
The density and the character of dislocations in cubic and hexagonal polycrystals were determined by a new procedure of X-ray diffraction profile analysis. The anisotropic strain broadening of diffraction profiles was accounted for by dislocation contrast factors.

Character tables for the atomic vibrations in some cubic crystals

Proceedings of the Indian Academy of Sciences - Section A, 1943
In this paper, the character tables for groups associated with vectors defining normal modes are given for four cubic crystals based on a facecentred Bravais lattice, viz., rock-salt, diamond, zincblende and fluorite. The method of deriving normal modes from these tables, described in an earlier paper, is illustrated here.

Push−Pull Phthalocyanines:  A Hammett Correlation between the Cubic Hyperpolarizability and the Donor−Acceptor Character of the Substituents

The Journal of Physical Chemistry A, 1997
The nonlinear optical (NLO) properties at the molecular level of a family of unsymmetrically substituted metal-free phthalocyanines (3−9) have been studied for the first time.

The quasi-two-dimensional character of ferromagnetism in face centred cubic transition metals

Journal of Physics F: Metal Physics, 1976
It is pointed out that electronic states at the top of the d band in FCC transition metal are localized in atomic layers perpendicular to the cubic axes. This leads to a model with three sub-bands, each having two-dimensional magnetic properties, coupled by Hund's rule exchange.

The Techniques and Evaluation Method for Beautification of Handwriting Chinese Characters Based on Cubic Bézier Curve and Convolutional Neural Network

2019 14th International Conference on Computer Science & Education (ICCSE), 2019
This paper presents a method to beautify Chinese characters and a way to evaluate the beautification result. In order to make handwritten Chinese characters more in line with the aesthetic standards of Chinese characters, 52 Chinese characters were selected as experimental data.

Coexistence of Local and Band Characters in the Absorption Spectra of Solids. II. Calculations for the Simple Cubic Lattice

Journal of the Physical Society of Japan, 1967
Line shapes of the fundamental absorption and the impurity-induced infrared absorption of lattice vibrations are calculated in order to clarify the complementary interplay of the local and band characters. The shift-broadening matrix method is applied to a monatomic simple cubic lattice with nearest neighbor interaction.
