FIXING MULTICOLLINEARITY INSTABILITY IN THE PREDICTION OF BODY WEIGHT FROM MORPHOMETRIC TRAITS OF WHITE FULANI COWS [PDF]
Body weight and nine morphostructural characters (withers height, rump height, heart girth, body length, head width, cannon circumference, shoulder width, rump width and rump length) of 83 White Fulani cows aged 1.5-2.4 years old were used to study the ...

On the cubic character of quadratic units
AbstractAn elementary proof is given of the theorem: If D = −3q or −27q is the discriminant of a cubic field, where q ≡ 1 (mod 4) is a prime, and if p or 4p is represented by c2 + ∥ D ∥ d2, then the fundamental unit in the field Q(q12) is a cubic residue of the prime p. In special cases necessary and sufficient conditions are derived.

Grain boundary engineering (GBE) is considered to be an attractive approach to microstructure control, which significantly enhances the grain-boundary-related properties of face-centered cubic (FCC) metals. During the twinning-related GBE, the microstructures are characterized as abundant special twin boundaries that sufficiently disrupt the ...

Stabilization of L‐PBF Ni50.7Ti49.3 under low‐cycle loading was investigated. Recoverable strain after cycling was dependent on the amount of applied load. Recovery ratio was 53.4% and 35.1% at intermediate and high load, respectively. The maximum total strain reached 10.3% at a high load of 1200 MPa.

The Generalized Green-Schwarz Mechanism for Type IIB Orientifolds with D3- and D7-Branes
In this paper, we work out in detail the tadpole cancellation conditions as well as the generalized Green-Schwarz mechanism for type IIB orientifold compactifications with D3- and D7-branes.

Creep experiments at 900°C on coarse‐grained steel‐ceramic composites containing recycled magnesia reveal that higher ceramic volume fractions significantly enhance the creep resistance. Detailed EBSD investigations identify subgrain formation in the steel matrix as the dominant deformation mechanism.

Handbook of Establishing and Maintaining Oxygen‐Free Atmospheres
This study presents a practical framework for creating oxygen‐free atmospheres at ambient pressure using silane‐doped inert gases. The results show that ultra‐low oxygen levels and strongly reduced water content can be achieved through controlled silane dosing, drying systems, and sensor monitoring.

Large values of $L(1,\chi)$ for $k$-th order characters $\chi$ and applications to character sums
For any given integer $k\geq 2$ we prove the existence of infinitely many $q$ and characters $ \chi\pmod q$ of order $k$, such that $|L(1,\chi)|\geq (e^{\gamma}+o(1))\log\log q$. We believe this bound to be best possible.

Application of Raman and Photoluminescence Spectroscopy to MgO‐C Refractories
Visible to near infrared luminescence of MgO is studied on MgO‐C bricks and nominally pure MgO powder, with focus on two similar sharp high‐intensity signals, at 699 and 871 nm, each surrounded by symmetrical sidebands. The nature of these sidebands is investigated by temperature‐dependent spectroscopic measurements, confirming phonon involvement by ...

Nickel‐based alloys are widely used in high‐temperature applications due to their excellent mechanical strength and oxidation resistance. However, properties such as high‐temperature strength and pronounced work‐hardening make them difficult to machine.
