The Cayley Cubic and Differential Equations [PDF]

open access: yesThe Journal of Geometric Analysis, 2020
We define Cayley structures as a field of Cayley's ruled cubic surfaces over a four dimensional manifold and motivate their study by showing their similarity to indefinite conformal structures and their link to differential equations. In particular, for Cayley structures an extension of certain notions defined for indefinite conformal structures in ...

Estimation of fetal age in sheep by measurement of transthoracic , transabdominal, cotyledon length and width by using real- time ultrasonography

open access: yesThe Iraqi Journal of Veterinary Medicine, 2007
This experiment includes 228 local Awassi ewes between 2 to 5 years old. The aim of this experiment was to estimate the fetal age by measurement of transthoracic, transabdominal, cotyledon length and width during different period of gestation by using ...

Non-Homogeneous Cubic Equations [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the London Mathematical Society, 1964
Let \( \varphi(x) \) be a cubic polynomial in \(n\) variables with integral coefficients, and let \(C\) be the part of \(\varphi\) that is homogeneous of degree 3. Define the invariant \(h(C)\) as the codimension of the greatest rational linear space contained in the hypersurface \(C=0\); so that, for instance, \(h(C)=n\) if \(C=0\) has no rational ...

Numerical approximation of 1D and 2D non-linear Schrödinger equations by implementing modified cubic Hyperbolic B-spline based DQM

open access: yesPartial Differential Equations in Applied Mathematics, 2021
In present study, Modified Cubic Hyperbolic B-spline Differential Quadrature Method is constructed for getting the numerical approximations of 1D and 2D non-linear Schrödinger equations. Modified cubic Hyperbolic B-spline is implemented as basis function

The Szegö Cubic Equation

open access: yes, 2009
We consider the following Hamiltonian equation on the $L^2$ Hardy space on the circle, $$i\partial_tu=Π(|u|^2u) ,$$ where $Π$ is the Szegö projector. This equation can be seen as a toy model for totally non dispersive evolution equations. We display a Lax pair structure for this equation.

The cubic Pell equation $L$-function

open access: yesActa Arithmetica, 2023
For $d > 1$ a cubefree rational integer, we define an $L$-function (denoted $L_d(s)$) whose coefficients are derived from the cubic theta function for $\mathbb Q\left(\sqrt{-3}\right)$. The Dirichlet series defining $L_d(s)$ converges for $\text{Re}(s) > 1$, and its coefficients vanish except at values corresponding to integral solutions of $mx^3

A Correlation for the Prediction of the Adiabatic Joule-Thomson Coefficient of Pure Gases and Gas Mixtures [PDF]

open access: yesIranian Journal of Chemistry & Chemical Engineering, 1992
A correlation based on the general form of cubic equations of state has been derived. This equation provides a convenient mathematical form of the Joule-Thomson coefficient in terms of the state variable V and T.

Thermal Noise in Cubic Optical Cavities

open access: yesPhotonics, 2021
Thermal noise in optical cavities sets a fundamental limit to the frequency instability of ultra-stable lasers. Numata et al. derived three equations based on strain energy and the fluctuation–dissipation theorem to estimate the thermal noise ...
