Fast Cubic Spline Interpolation

open access: yesCoRR, 2020
The Numerical Recipes series of books are a useful resource, but all the algorithms they contain cannot be used within open-source projects. In this paper we develop drop-in alternatives to the two algorithms they present for cubic spline interpolation, showing as much of our work as possible to allow for replication or criticsm.

Retinal Vessel Segmentation: A Comprehensive Review From Classical Methods to Deep Learning Advances (1982–2025)

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
Four decades of retinal vessel segmentation research (1982–2025) are synthesized, spanning classical image processing, machine learning, and deep learning paradigms. A meta‐analysis of 428 studies establishes a unified taxonomy and highlights performance trends, generalization capabilities, and clinical relevance.

On the Cauchy transform and complex cubic splines

open access: yesJournal of Numerical Analysis and Approximation Theory, 2003
In this paper we approximate the Cauchy transform of a complex function on a simple closed curve, using an interpolation cubic spline function given by Iancu (1987).

Numerical simulation of Burgers’ equation using cubic B-splines

open access: yesNonlinear Engineering, 2017
In this paper, a numerical θ scheme is proposed for solving nonlinear Burgers’ equation. By employing Hopf-Cole transformation, the nonlinear Burgers’ equation is linearized to the linear Heat equation.

Uniformly convergent numerical solution for caputo fractional order singularly perturbed delay differential equation using extended cubic B-spline collocation scheme [PDF]

open access: yesIranian Journal of Numerical Analysis and Optimization
This article presents a parameter uniform convergence numerical scheme for solving time fractional order singularly perturbed parabolic convection-diffusion differential equations with a delay.

Solving a nonlinear fractional Schrödinger equation using cubic B-splines

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2020
We study the inhomogeneous nonlinear time-fractional Schrödinger equation for linear potential, where the order of fractional time derivative parameter α varies between 0 < α < 1 $0 < \alpha < 1$ .

A tension approach to controlling the shape of cubic spline surfaces on FVS triangulations

open access: yes, 2009
We propose a parametric tensioned version of the FVS macro-element to control the shape of the composite surface and remove artificial oscillations, bumps and other undesired behaviour.

Undetectable Hydroxyurea Levels in the Majority of Sickle Cell Disease Patients, Especially in Young Children

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Hematology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Hydroxyurea (HU) is the most widely prescribed disease‐modifying treatment in sickle cell disease (SCD), though treatment responses vary due to metabolism and adherence. We examined HU blood levels and treatment response in patients with homozygous sickle cell disease (HbSS).

Dosing Interval Extension of Dupilumab in CRSwNP: Five‐Year Real World Outcomes

open access: yesInternational Forum of Allergy &Rhinology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP) is a persistent, often Type 2‐mediated inflammatory disease that markedly impairs quality of life. While dupilumab provides rapid improvement, there is limited evidence on long‐term outcomes beyond 2 years, and the clinical impact of dosing‐interval extension remains unclear.

Cubic B-splines collocation method for a class of partial integro-differential equation

open access: yesAlexandria Engineering Journal, 2018
In this paper, a numerical method is proposed to estimate the solution of initial-boundary value problems for a class of partial integro-differential equations.
