Memory-Optimized Cubic Splines for High-Fidelity Quantum Operations

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Quantum Engineering
Radio frequency pulses are preponderant for the control of quantum bits and the execution of operations in quantum computers. The ability to fine-tune key pulse parameters, such as time-dependent amplitude, phase, and frequency, is essential to achieve ...

Clinical and Modifiable Factors Associated With Disability and Relapse in MOGAD: A Multicentre Cohort Study

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Factors associated with relapse course and disability in myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antibody‐associated disease (MOGAD) remain incompletely understood. Objectives To identify clinical and modifiable factors associated with relapse and disability in MOGAD. Methods In this ambispective multicentre cohort study using data from

Solutions of BVPs arising in hydrodynamic and magnetohydro-dynamic stability theory using polynomial and non-polynomial splines

open access: yesAlexandria Engineering Journal, 2021
This paper describes the exceptionally precise results of 6th-order and 8th-order nonlinear boundary-value problems(BVPs). Cubic-Nonpolynomial spline(CNPS) and Cubic-polynomial spline(CNPS) are utilized to solve such types of BVPs.

Use of a Molecular Signature Response Classifier to Inform Treatment Selection Improves Clinical Disease Activity Among Patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis Initiating a Biologic or Targeted Synthetic Disease‐Modifying Antirheumatic Drug

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective We assessed the effectiveness of PrismRA to improve clinical outcomes among patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) initiating treatment with a biologic or targeted synthetic disease‐modifying antirheumatic drug (b/tsDMARD). Methods PrismRA incorporated 19 gene expression features and four clinical features to assess a patient's likelihood of

Adaptive Observer for Coupled Wave PDE and Infinite ODE With Sampled Data and Unknown Input: Application to Brain Hemodynamics Estimation

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, EarlyView.
This article proposes a convergent adaptive observer for a damped wave PDE and an infinite‐dimensional ODE coupled in cascade using sampled‐in‐space ODE state measurements. The proposed observer estimates the distributed states of the PDE and ODE along with unknown PDE parameters and spatial input.

Spline-Extrapolation Method in Traffic Forecasting in 5G Networks

open access: yesJournal of Telecommunications and Information Technology, 2019
This paper considers the problem of predicting self-similar traffic with a significant number of pulsations and the property of long-term dependence, using various spline functions.

Noninvasive Characterization of Tumor Heterogeneity in HNSCC: From Clinical Utility to Biological Correlates

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study establishes a CT‐based radiomics framework to quantify intratumoral heterogeneity (ITH) in HNSCC. Using unsupervised clustering, tumor ROIs and VOIs are analyzed to calculate 2D/3D ITH scores. The score shows strong predictive value for prognosis and immunotherapy response, and is associated with tumor metabolism and immune microenvironment,

On a Generalization of Cubic Spline Interpolation

open access: yesJournal of Software, 2011
Based on analysis of basic cubic spline interpolation, the clamped cubic spline interpolation is generalized in this paper. The methods are presented on the condition that the first derivative and second derivative of arbitrary node are given. The Clamped spline and Curvature-adjusted cubic spline are also generalized.
