Rhythmic and speech rate effects in the perception of durational cues
Attention, Perception, & Psychophysics, 2021Listeners' perception of temporal contrasts in spoken language is highly sensitive to contextual information, such as variation in speech rate. Rate of Apparent Magnification as a Cue to Distance: Laboratory Investigation
Perceptual and Motor Skills, 1972O s made judgments of the apparent rate of magnification of an approaching object as a cue to its distance. Os were separated into 2 groups of 20 on the basis of their relative field dependency. Os viewed a radially moving target which provided the sensation of movement in depth. 2 target sizes and 2 values of rate of movement were used.

Reducing the performance-cue bias in work behavior ratings: Can groups help?
Journal of Applied Psychology, 2002The authors examined whether the performance-cue bias can be reduced by relying on groups as raters. Study participants (N = 333) were provided with feedback regarding the performance of a workgroup and, after observing the group, assigned to an individual or group rater condition to complete a behavioral rating instrument.

Age, Presentation Rate, and the Effectiveness of Structural and Semantic Recall Cues
Journal of Gerontology, 1983To replicate the results of research on age-related differences in the effectiveness of structural and semantic memory cues, 18 young, 18 middle-aged, and 18 elderly adults recalled three 20-item lists aided by category labels, or the initial two letters of each word, or no cues.
