Maltravieso cave (Cáceres, Spain) is well-known thanks to its parietal art that dates from the Upper Palaeolithic. Since 2002, when systematic excavations began in the cave, its archaeological potential as a Pleistocene site was proven. This paper presents the first Upper Palaeolithic data from La Sala de las Chimeneas.
