Non‐Stationary Dry‐Spell Hazard Probabilities for Spain

This study assesses long‐term changes in dry‐spell hazard probabilities across Spain (1961–2024) using a novel non‐stationary extreme value framework applied to daily precipitation records from a dense observational network. Vernalization regulatory network identifies potential novel functions for genes in the HvVRN2 locus

Summary Flowering is controlled by environmental and genetic factors. Vernalization requirement in barley (Hordeum vulgare L.) is determined by the allele in HvVRN1 and the presence of locus HvVRN2, which consists of two zinc‐finger and CONSTANS‐like domains (ZCCT) genes: HvVRN2a and HvVRN2b.

Summary Deciphering the root exudate‐driven interplay between plants and the rhizosphere microbiota is essential for understanding plant adaptation to the environment and future‐proofing crop production.
