The role of lipid peroxidation products in cumene hydroperoxide-induced Ca2+efflux from mitochondria [PDF]

open access: yesFEBS Letters, 1991
Cumene hydroperoxide-induced calcium release from mitochondria has been studied. Activation of lipid peroxidation by increasing concentrations of cumene hydroperoxide does not enhance calcium efflux induced by low (up to 50 μM) concentration of cumene ...

Efficient oxidation of cumene to cumene hydroperoxide with ambient O2 catalyzed by metalloporphyrins

, 2021
A novel and efficient protocol for oxidation of cumene to cumene hydroperoxide was presented using ambient O2 catalyzed by very simple metalloporphyrins. The selectivity toward cumene hydroperoxide reached 98.3% in the cumene conversion of 28.1% with T(4-

Preparation of cumene hydroperoxide

Chemical Engineering Science, 1954
Summary Cumene hydroperoxide has been prepared by liquid phase oxidation of cumene with molecular oxygen. The oxidation rates and yields are given of experiments carried out in a “Pyrex” reactor at 110–130°C. Copper was found to be a catalvst for this oxidation.

Cumene hydroperoxide effected hydroperoxidation by cytochrome P-450

Archives of Biochemistry and Biophysics, 1985
9-Methylfluorene was found to be oxygenated to 9-hydroperoxy-9-methylfluorene and 9-hydroxy-9-methylfluorene by cytochrome P-450 in the presence of cumene hydroperoxide. Molecular oxygen is required and carbon monoxide is inhibitory. The reaction is inhibited by SKF-525A and metyrapone.

Microchannel process for phenol production via the cleavage of cumene hydroperoxide

Chemical Engineering and Science, 2019
Phenol is commercially produced through cumene hydroperoxide (CHP) cleavage in kettle reactor, having the disadvantages of hazard potential, low selectivity, low efficiency and complicated process.

Some safety aspects on the cleavage of cumene hydroperoxide in the phenol process

Process safety progress, 2019
The acid‐catalyzed cleavage of cumene hydroperoxide (CHP) to phenol and acetone is an exothermic reaction in homogeneous liquid phase. The reaction occurs within a minute.

Evaluation for the thermokinetics of the autocatalytic reaction of cumene hydroperoxide mixed with phenol through isothermal approaches and simulations

Chemical engineering research & design, 2018
In the petrochemical industry, estimation methods based on isothermal micro-calorimetry are used to precisely analyze the thermal hazards and risks associated with chemicals and to develop an inherently safer design (ISD).

Reactions of cumene hydroperoxide mixed with sodium hydroxide

Journal of Hazardous Materials, 2008
Decomposition of cumene hydroperoxide (CHP) was undertaken in a free radical chain reaction. The peroxyl group is very active and unstable, while the remainder of the molecule is inert. CHP reacted with various concentrations of dilute sodium hydroxide as a catalyst to cleave at ambient and decomposition temperature. The products were verified by GC/MS,
