Biocompatible Sulfobetaine Polymer‐Artemisinin Conjugates Inducing Ferroptosis in Cancer Cells: Synthesis by Mechanochemical Solid‐State Polymerization and Characterization

open access: yesMacromolecular Rapid Communications, Volume 47, Issue 15, 4 August 2026.
The amphiphilic copolymer incorporating a hydrophobic chain conjugated with artesunate into a biocompatible sulfobetaine polymer is synthesized by solid‐state copolymerization of sulfobetaine methacrylate and methacrylamide derivative conjugating artesunate.

Restriction‐Weighted Q‐Space Trajectory Imaging (ResQ): Toward Mapping Diffusion‐Time Effects With Tensor‐Valued Diffusion Encoding in Human Prostate Cancer Xenografts

open access: yesNMR in Biomedicine, Volume 39, Issue 8, August 2026.
Tensor‐valued diffusion MRI enables microstructure characterization but can be confounded by the presence of restricted diffusion. We introduce ResQ, a framework that incorporates restriction weighting into q‐space trajectory imaging and we evaluate it in a longitudinal study of prostate cancer xenografts treated by external radiotherapy. ResQ revealed

An algorithm for arbitrary–order cumulant tensor calculation in a sliding window of data streams

open access: yesInternational Journal of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science, 2019
High-order cumulant tensors carry information about statistics of non-normally distributed multivariate data. In this work we present a new efficient algorithm for calculation of cumulants of arbitrary orders in a sliding window for data streams. We show

A Copper‐Complexing Lipid Unmasks the Ethanol Hidden Within Liposomes and Highlights the Relevance of Fabrication Method on the Performance of Lipophilic Functional Molecules

open access: yesSmall Science, Volume 6, Issue 8, August 2026.
Liposomes of the same composition obtained with microfluidics (μF) and thin film hydration methods exhibit different physicochemical properties, due to residual traces of ethanol from the μF protocol. This affects the insertion of a synthetic lipophilic ligand (HIOTD) and its ability to complex Cu(II).

Least Trimmed Squares: Cointegration and Outliers

open access: yesOxford Bulletin of Economics and Statistics, Volume 88, Issue 4, Page 690-711, August 2026.
ABSTRACT When applying the cointegrated autoregressive distributed lag model it is common to include indicator variables for outliers. This is often done in a somewhat ad hoc way. Least Trimmed Squares estimation provides a more systematic approach. This estimator is robust to a large number of outliers of many types.

Development of a Lensless Compact Optical System for Ultrasensitive Nanomaterial Detection in Liquid Media via Exploiting Multiple Light Scattering

open access: yesNanophotonics, Volume 15, Issue 13, 13 July 2026.
This work presents a lensless speckle‐based platform that exploits multiple light scattering for precise nanoparticle detection in liquid media. The proposed method enables ultrasensitive detection at concentrations far below conventional DLS limits and provides semiquantitative size estimation, offering a cost‐effective and field‐deployable approach ...

Parameter Estimation of Weibull Distribution Based on Second-Kind Statistics

open access: yesJournal of Communications Software and Systems, 2010
The log-cumulant estimator is proposed to estimate the parameters of Weibull distribution based on second-kind statistics. With the explicit closed form expressions, the log-cumulant estimator is computationally efficient.

Mixed Far-Field and Near-Field Source Localization Algorithm via Sparse Subarrays

open access: yesInternational Journal of Antennas and Propagation, 2018
Based on a dual-size shift invariance sparse linear array, this paper presents a novel algorithm for the localization of mixed far-field and near-field sources.
