Probabilistic load flow method considering large-scale wind power integration

open access: yesJournal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy, 2019
The increasing penetration of wind power brings great uncertainties into power systems, which poses challenges to system planning and operation. This paper proposes a novel probabilistic load flow (PLF) method based on clustering technique to handle ...

Polaron spectral properties in doped ZnO and SrTiO_{3} from first principles

open access: yesPhysical Review Research, 2020
We reveal polaron signatures in the spectral function of n-doped SrTiO_{3} and ZnO through first-principles interacting Green's function calculations. In SrTiO_{3} we observe a clear replica band at 94 meV below the conduction band, which shows that the ...

Biocompatible Sulfobetaine Polymer‐Artemisinin Conjugates Inducing Ferroptosis in Cancer Cells: Synthesis by Mechanochemical Solid‐State Polymerization and Characterization

open access: yesMacromolecular Rapid Communications, Volume 47, Issue 15, 4 August 2026.
The amphiphilic copolymer incorporating a hydrophobic chain conjugated with artesunate into a biocompatible sulfobetaine polymer is synthesized by solid‐state copolymerization of sulfobetaine methacrylate and methacrylamide derivative conjugating artesunate.

Multiple-Cumulant-Matrices-Based Method for Exact NF Polarization Localization with COLD Array

open access: yesSensors
As a key technology for the fifth-generation of mobile communications, massive MIMO systems enable massive user access via large-scale arrays. However, their dense deployment extends the near-field (NF) region, introducing new localization complexities ...

Restriction‐Weighted Q‐Space Trajectory Imaging (ResQ): Toward Mapping Diffusion‐Time Effects With Tensor‐Valued Diffusion Encoding in Human Prostate Cancer Xenografts

open access: yesNMR in Biomedicine, Volume 39, Issue 8, August 2026.
Tensor‐valued diffusion MRI enables microstructure characterization but can be confounded by the presence of restricted diffusion. We introduce ResQ, a framework that incorporates restriction weighting into q‐space trajectory imaging and we evaluate it in a longitudinal study of prostate cancer xenografts treated by external radiotherapy. ResQ revealed

A Copper‐Complexing Lipid Unmasks the Ethanol Hidden Within Liposomes and Highlights the Relevance of Fabrication Method on the Performance of Lipophilic Functional Molecules

open access: yesSmall Science, Volume 6, Issue 8, August 2026.
Liposomes of the same composition obtained with microfluidics (μF) and thin film hydration methods exhibit different physicochemical properties, due to residual traces of ethanol from the μF protocol. This affects the insertion of a synthetic lipophilic ligand (HIOTD) and its ability to complex Cu(II).

Least Trimmed Squares: Cointegration and Outliers

open access: yesOxford Bulletin of Economics and Statistics, Volume 88, Issue 4, Page 690-711, August 2026.
ABSTRACT When applying the cointegrated autoregressive distributed lag model it is common to include indicator variables for outliers. This is often done in a somewhat ad hoc way. Least Trimmed Squares estimation provides a more systematic approach. This estimator is robust to a large number of outliers of many types.

Accessibility Measurement by the Cumulative-Opportunity Method

open access: yesJapanese Journal of Human Geography, 1986
An understanding of multi-dimensional regional structure is indispensable in regional planning. Accessibility is one of the most useful indices. Measures of accessibility are grouped according to method of calculation into three types, namely the network measure (formula 2), potential measure (the measure of population potential-type is formula 3, and ...

Cumulant methods and short time propagators

open access: yesThe Journal of Chemical Physics, 1989
The present paper clarifies a number of issues concerning the general problem of constructing improved short time quantum mechanical propagators. Cumulant methods are shown to be a particularly convenient tool for this task. Numerical results comparing methods based on partial averaging and on gradient approaches are presented for simple model problems
