Bivariate Epanechnikov-Weibull distribution based on Sarmanov copula: properties, simulation, and uncertainty measures with applications [PDF]
The modeling of bivariate data in statistics often requires constructing families of bivariate distributions with predefined marginals. In this study, we introduced a novel bivariate distribution, denoted as EP-WD-SAR, which combines the Sarmanov (SAR ...

Weighted Cumulative Past Extropy and Its Inference. [PDF]
This paper introduces and studies a new generalization of cumulative past extropy called weighted cumulative past extropy (WCPJ) for continuous random variables.

Results on Varextropy Measure of Random Variables. [PDF]
In 2015, Lad, Sanfilippo and Agrò proposed an alternative measure of uncertainty dual to the entropy known as extropy. This paper provides some results on a dispersion measure of extropy of random variables which is called varextropy and studies several

Compressive sensing using extropy measures of ranked set sampling [PDF]
The aim of this paper is to consider the extropy measure of uncertainty proposed by Lad, Sanfilippo and Agrò for the problem of compressive sensing. For this purpose, two sampling designs, i.e., simple random sampling (SRS) and a modified version of ...

The extropy is a measure of information introduced as dual to entropy. It is a shift-independent information measure just as the entropy. We introduce here the notion of weighted extropy, a shift-dependent information measure which gives higher weights ...

Fractional deng entropy and extropy and some applications [PDF]
Deng entropy and extropy are two measures useful in the Dempster–Shafer evidence theory (DST) to study uncertainty, following the idea that extropy is the dual concept of entropy.

System Level Extropy of the Past Life of a Coherent System
In this paper, we take a new approach to uncertainty in a coherent system, where components are assumed to be all inactive in a given time. In particular, the signature‐based method is used to quantify the extropy of the past lifetime of the system, which serves as a valuable indicator of its predictability.
