Multiscale numerical sensitivity simulations of a mesoscale gravity‐wave event
High‐resolution WRF simulations of the February 14–15, 1992 STORM‐FEST event show that mesoscale gravity‐wave genesis occurs via geostrophic adjustment within an upper‐level unbalanced jet, while wave ducting governs maintenance. High‐resolution (1 km), improved physical parameterization, and targeted sensitivity simulations demonstrate that upstream ...

As inferred from the Sawyer–Eliassen analyses, the intense diabatic heating located slightly inside the radius of maximum tangential wind (RMW) associated with a compact eyewall is mainly responsible for the severe RI of Noru, in contrast to typhoon Goni (2020) at a slower spinup despite similar RMW, due to the weaker diabatic heating. The severe RI of

ABSTRACT We propose a practical procedure to quantify the time varying influence of parameters on hazard functions for power series compounded lifetime models. The procedure combines likelihood based fitting with a two stage sensitivity analysis and applies to a range of baselines and compounding laws.

ABSTRACT This article proposes a distributed resilient control framework to ensure consensus tracking for nonlinear heterogeneous multi‐agent systems (NHMAS) under aperiodic denial‐of‐service (DoS) attacks. First, a resilient observer is introduced to estimate the leader's state considering that not all agents have direct access to the leader's ...
