Curing characteristics of a composite. part 2: the effect of curing configuration on depth and distribution of cure.

Dental Materials, 2014
The objective of this study was to examine the effect different configurations of curing would have on the depth and distribution of the cure within each configuration, for a specific resin-based composite (RBC).RBC was cured in a variety of configurations, consisting of 6mm molds of three different colors; large molds that simulated the condition of ...

Biochemical characteristics of dry-cured lacón

Food Chemistry, 1999
Dry-cured lacon is a salted and ripened meat product made in the north-west of Spain from the fore extremity of the pig following a technological process very similar to those of dry-cured ham. The gross composition, the most relevant physico-chemical parameters, the protein extractability, the nitrogen fractions, as well as some fat characteristics ...

Characteristics of epoxy resin cured with in situ polymerized curing agent

Polymer, 2002
In order to improve the heat resistance of a cured epoxy resin together with reducing the viscosity of the resin composition, an epoxy resin was cured with a curing agent formed from the radical copolymerization of vinyl monomers during the cure process of the epoxy resin. N-phenylmaleimide and p-acetoxystyrene were used as vinyl monomers of the curing

Selected curing characteristics of light-activated composite resins

Dental Materials, 1985
Abstract The purpose of this study was to clarify some curing characteristics of light-activated composite resins. Three visible light-activated and 1 UV light-activated resin were cured with each generator recommended by the manufacturer.

Light transmittance characteristics of light-cured composite resins

Dental Materials, 1998
The purpose of this study was: (1) to examine the light transmittance characteristics of various shades of light-cured composite resins, and (2) to evaluate the effect of light transmittance characteristics on the color of the resins.Eleven shades of two composite resins were used.

Flue-Cured Tobacco Farms: Selected Characteristics

1991
Flue-cured tobacco acreage per farm expanded in the 1980's Because of increased mechanization, reduced labor availability, and Government policies that encouraged larger quota holdings. These trends resulted in a dramatically altered structure for flue-cured tobacco production. The proportion of producers who both rent and own their quota rose relative

Flow characteristics of curing polymethyl methacrylate bone cement

Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Part H: Journal of Engineering in Medicine, 1998
During polymerization, polymethyl methacrylate bone cements have complex viscoelastic characteristics. Within a short working time they transform from dough-like consistencies to solid cements. Therefore, the time at which a cement is introduced to cancellous bone surfaces and subjected to pressure is important, to achieve optimum flow and mechanical ...

Curing characteristics of particulate‐filled thermosets

Polymer Engineering & Science, 1982
AbstractA model to describe the effect of participate fillers on the heat transfer and curing characteristics of a thermosetting polymer is presented. It is assumed that the reaction kinetics are not altered by the addition of the filler and that the thermal characteristics of the composite are adequately described by the “spherical inclusion model ...

Effect of curing mode on the polymerization characteristics of dual-cured resin cement systems

Journal of Dentistry, 2008
To evaluate the effects of different curing conditions on the degree of conversion (DC) of dual-cured cementing systems [combination of bonding agent (BA) and resin cement (RC)] using infrared spectroscopy.Four fourth generation products [Scotchbond Multipurpose Plus/RelyX (3M ESPE), Optibond/Nexus 2 (Kerr), All Bond2/Duolink (Bisco), and Bond-It!/Lute-

Rheological characteristics of cured melamine-formaldehyde resins

Polymer Science U.S.S.R., 1989
Abstract The rheokinetics of the curing of melamine-formaldehyde resins in the melt and in aqueous solutions of various concentrations are studied. It is shown that phase separation of the cured composition and the formation of a microgel structure preceed the gel formation point.
