Neuid: A Novel Neuron‐Enriched LncRNA that Connects Epigenetic Gene Silencing to Alzheimer's Disease

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The increasing evidence that non‐coding RNAs can become deregulated during pathogenesis is dramatically expanding the space for drug discovery beyond the protein‐coding genome. Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) are emerging as key regulators of cellular function, yet most remain uncharacterized.

Implications of Public External Debt for Social Spending: A Case Study of Selected Asian Developing Countries

open access: yesLahore Journal of Economics
For developing countries with budgetary and balance-of-payments gaps to meet, maintaining large stakes of external debt is not free of cost. Highly indebted countries have to set aside a sizeable fraction of their scarce resources to service their debt,

The U.S. Current Account Deficit: Gradual Correction or Abrupt Adjustment? [PDF]

open access: yes
In this paper I use a large multi-country data set to analyze the determinants of abrupt and large %u201Ccurrent account reversals.%u201D The results from a variance-component probit model indicate that the probability of experiencing a major current ...

Restriction of Individual Branched‐Chain Amino Acids has Distinct Effects on the Development and Progression of Alzheimer's Disease in 3xTg Mice

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Protein restriction (PR) slows Alzheimer's disease (AD) in mice, and other benefits of PR are due to decreased branched‐chain amino acids (BCAAs). We show that restricting any BCAA has benefits, with sex‐ and BCAA‐specific impacts on pathology, molecular signaling, and cognition.

Global Imbalances-Just How Dangerous? [PDF]

open access: yes
The combination of rising current account surpluses in Asia and a growing current account deficit in the United States has raised concerns that the resulting imbalances pose a threat to the world economy, especially if they are reversed in a disorderly ...

Deciphering and Targeting the Schwannoma‐Neuron‐Macrophage Crosstalk for the Treatment of Schwannomatosis and Associated Pain

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We established patient‐derived SWN cell lines and orthotopic PDX models that recapitulate patient pain phenotypes, alongside a novel intravital DRG imaging platform to track macrophage infiltration and neuronal pain responses. Using these models, we define HMGB1–CCL2–IL‐6 signaling crosstalk driving pain and identify EGF signaling as a key regulator of
