Bidirectional current source converter: Design, control and performance evaluation
This paper investigates feasibility of a current source converter (CSC) for battery energy storage applications. An inherent feature of the converter is boosting of the DC-link voltage. We discuss the converter operation principle and choice of circuit parameters with effects on system performance.

dUTPases are involved in balancing the appropriate nucleotide pools. We showed that dUTPase is essential for normal development in zebrafish. The different zebrafish genomes contain several single‐nucleotide variations (SNPs) of the dut gene. One of the dUTPase variants displayed drastically lower protein stability and catalytic efficiency as compared ...

Immediate Analysis of Periodic Steady States in Switched DC-DC Converters via SPICE [PDF]
The method of immediate analysis of periodic steady states in switched DC-DC converters operating in the continuous current mode is described. The initial conditions, which correspond to the periodic steady state, are found in the first step.

Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐

Dapagliflozin prevents methylglyoxal‐induced retinal cell death in ARPE‐19 cells
Diabetic macular oedema is a diabetes complication of the eye, which may lead to permanent blindness. ARPE‐19 are human retinal cells used to study retinal diseases and potential therapeutics. Methylglyoxal is a compound increased in uncontrolled diabetes due to elevated blood glucose.
