Efficient and lightweight current leads

AIP Conference Proceedings, 2014
Current leads generate substantial cryogenic heat loads in short length High Temperature Superconductor (HTS) distribution systems. Thermal conduction, as well as Joule losses (I2R) along the current leads, comprises the largest cryogenic loads for short distribution systems. Current leads with two temperature stages have been designed, constructed and

Experimental and theoretical research on the current efficiency of the electrodialysis regenerator for liquid desiccant air-conditioning system using LiCl solution

International journal of refrigeration, 2018
The liquid desiccant air-conditioning system conducts air dehumidification with liquid desiccant and is proposed as an alternative to the conventional vapor compression cooling system. The electrodialysis regeneration is suitable for the liquid desiccant,

Current-flow efficiency of networks

Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, 2018
Abstract Many real-world networks, from infrastructure networks to social and communication networks, can be formulated as flow networks. How to realistically measure the transport efficiency of these networks is of fundamental importance. The shortest-path-based efficiency measurement has limitations, as it assumes that flow travels only along those

Current challenges for efficient electricity grids

Poiesis & Praxis, 2009
The comprehensive liberalisation of the electricity market at the end of the last century has initiated a dynamic development. The politically determined disjunction of the network operation from generation, commerce and distribution which broke open the value added chain concerning the business organisation is to induce competition and consequently ...

Fast Transient Fully Standard-Cell-Based All Digital Low-Dropout Regulator With 99.97% Current Efficiency

IEEE transactions on power electronics, 2018
A fully standard-cell-based digital low-dropout (D-LDO) regulator with low-level quiescent current and fast load transient response is proposed for efficient power management in a system-on-a-chip. For the design of a fast and accurate voltage comparator,

Area efficient current steering DAC using current tuning

Asia-Pacific Conference on Circuits and Systems, 2003
A 10 bit segmented (5+5 bit) high speed current steering DAC is presented in this paper. Devices with small area are used to reduce the total area without affecting linearity. A current tuning loop is suggested to overcome the sizing mismatch error. The master slave concept is used along with this to generate multiple copies of weighted current sources.

Current efficiency and the efficiency of initiation during electrochemical polymerization

Polymer Science U.S.S.R., 1980
Abstract To study electrochemical initiation of polymerization, the relation was examined between the efficiency of initiation ƒ, current efficiency, polymer molecular weight and mass. Using results dependences were determined of ƒ on current density, time of electrolysis and monomer concentration when forming a polymer coating as a result of ...

Image filtering: Potential efficiency and current problems

2011 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech and Signal Processing (ICASSP), 2011
The paper contains comparisons of lower bound (potential) and achieved efficiency for filtering grayscale and color images corrupted by AWGN. It is demonstrated that for complex structure images the corresponding limits are practically reached. Then, the main problems of the current stage of filter design are discussed taking into account noise models ...
