Determination of impressed current efficiency during accelerated corrosion of reinforcement

, 2020
Impressed current technique is a widely adopted method for accelerating corrosion of steel reinforcement. The mass loss of steel can be theoretically estimated by Faraday's law with the assumption that all of the impressed current participated in the ...

Current Distribution and Current Efficiency in Pulsed Current Plating of Nickel

Journal of The Electrochemical Society, 1996
A mathematical model is presented to obtain the current distribution and current efficiency on a rotating disk electrode under controlled current condition. The calculated results compare well with experiments performed using a nickel/nickel sulfate system in the presence of boric acid.

Current efficiency in the lithium-water battery

Journal of Power Sources, 1977
Abstract Under well-controlled conditions, the exceptional energy of the LiH 2 O reaction can be harnessed electrochemically with high Faradaic efficiency. The most important adjustable control parameters are electrolyte flow rate, electrolyte concentration, temperature and anode—cathode contact pressure.

Self‐Powered MXene/GaN van der Waals Heterojunction Ultraviolet Photodiodes with Superhigh Efficiency and Stable Current Outputs

Advances in Materials, 2021
A self‐powered, high‐performance Ti3C2Tx MXene/GaN van der Waals heterojunction (vdWH)‐based ultraviolet (UV) photodiode is reported. Such integration creates a Schottky junction depth that is larger than the UV absorption depth to sufficiently separate ...

Charge transfer/mass transport competition in advanced hybrid electrocatalytic wastewater treatment: Development of a new current efficiency relation

Applied Catalysis B: Environmental, 2019
The contribution of homogeneous versus heterogeneous catalytic oxidation has been studied for the first time in a hybrid anodic oxidation (AO)/electro-Fenton (EF) batch reactor at different initial organic load in terms of chemical oxygen demand (COD ...

Is Current Surgical Training Efficient? A National Survey

Journal of Surgical Education, 2014
Evaluation of surgical training in Denmark is competency based with no requirement for a specific number of procedures. This may affect monitoring of surgical progress adversely and cause an underestimation of the time needed to acquire surgical competencies. We investigated the number of common surgical procedures performed by trainees.

Stochastic currents and efficiency in an autonomous heat engine

Physical Review E, 2022
We experimentally demonstrate that a Brownian gyrator of a colloidal particle confined in a two-dimensional harmonic potential with different effective temperatures on orthogonal axes can work as an autonomous heat engine capable of extracting work from the heat bath, generated by an optical feedback trap.
