Topology Optimization Analysis of Leakage Current Suppression in Three-Level Four-Leg Photovoltaic Grid-Connected Inverter

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2023
The grid-connected non-isolated photovoltaic inverter system suffers from the leakage current, which increases the loss of the system, and the grid-connected current harmonics impact the normal operation of the equipment.

Incidence, Risk Factors and Management of Adverse Events in Contemporary Real‐World Care of Children with Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, Accepted Article.
Objective We describe the frequency, risk factors, severity, and management of actionable and serious adverse events (AAE and SAE) in children with newly diagnosed Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA) in Canada. Methods We enrolled patients within 3 months of JIA diagnosis in the Canadian Alliance of Pediatric Rheumatology Investigators (CAPRI) Registry,

A novel arc suppression method based on active voltage control

open access: yesEnergy Reports, 2022
The passive current arc-suppression cannot compensate the active and harmonic components, active current arc-suppression has poor  reliability and economy, the passive voltage arc-suppression is easy to enlarge the fault range.

Is an Apple an Orange? A Large Language Model Benchmark for Candidate Term Extraction and Subclass Decisions Against Upper Ontologies in Engineering and Materials Science

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Building machine‐readable vocabularies for materials science is slow, expert‐driven work. This study benchmarks 13 large language models on two of its first steps: finding candidate terms in engineering articles and deciding where they belong in a class hierarchy.

Research on the Suppression Method of Low-Order Harmonic Currents for Active Power Filters Using Quasi-Proportional Resonance Control

open access: yesEnergies
Aiming at the significant challenges faced by active power filters (APFs) in suppressing low-order harmonic currents (such as second and fourth), this paper proposes a rarefaction suppression method based on quasi-proportional resonance (QPR) control ...

Microstructure Reconstruction in Battery Electrodes Using Machine Learning Based on Low‐Voltage Focused Ion Beam–Scanning Electron Microscopy Tomography Images

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Low‐voltage FIB‐SEM tomography combined with a image preprocessing pipeline improves phase contrast and enables reliable machine‐learning segmentation of conductive networks in lithium‐ion battery electrodes. Structural descriptors are extracted from segmented images, done semimanually and automated, and compared.

Triple-Passive Harmonic Suppression Method for Delta-Connected Rectifier to Reduce the Harmonic Content on the Grid Side

open access: yesApplied Sciences
With the development of distributed energy sources such as photovoltaic and wind power, power grids have imposed increasingly higher requirements on power quality. As common nonlinear loads in power grids, multi-pulse rectifiers (MPRs) inject significant

Uniform Amorphization of Crystalline Silicon Surfaces Enabled by Deep Ultraviolet Femtosecond Laser Pulses

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Deep‐UV (258 nm) femtosecond pulses enable uniform amorphous silicon writing on Si(100)/(111) with a six‐fold larger fluence amorphization window than NIR methods. Optimized fluence and overlap yield 20–45 nm uniform and continuous amorphous layers. Microscopy shows sharp interfaces, and real‐time reflectivity reveals nanosecond melt–resolidification ...

Rapidly Solidified High‐Strength Invar 36 Prepared by Planar‐Flow Melt Spinning

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The Invar 36 alloy was rapidly solidified using the planar‐flow melt‐spinning technique. Ribbon samples with thicknesses ranging from 20 to 160 mm were produced. As the grain size of the ribbon decreased to sub‐micron levels, the hardness increased by more than 2 times.
