Characterizing Semiconductor Devices for All-Electric Aircraft

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2023
Cryogenic propulsion with hydrogen fuel cells replacing fossil fuels is a promising solution to cut carbon emissions in the aviation sector. Hydrogen will also be used for cooling the superconducting machines and power converter circuits.

Improved 3-Phase Current Transducer

open access: yesProceedings, 2018
We propose improved contactless DC/AC current transducer for 3-phase current lines based on 8 integrated fluxgate sensors. Using proper processing we ideally achieve a complete suppression of external homogeneous fields, and field gradients up to the 4th

Improved Method for Determining Voltage Unbalance Factor Using Induction Motors

open access: yesEnergies, 2022
This work shows an alternative method to determine the Voltage Unbalance Factor in a power grid by using both the mean value of the line voltages and Current Unbalance Factor in induction motors. Twenty unbalanced voltage points on three induction motors

Conductivity and the current–current correlation measure [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Physics A: Mathematical and Theoretical, 2010
We review various formulations of conductivity for one-particle Hamiltonians and relate them to the current-current correlation measure. We prove that the current-current correlation measure for random Schrödinger operators has a density at coincident energies provided the energy lies in a localization regime.

Alternate current measurement [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the Royal Society of London. Series A, Containing Papers of a Mathematical and Physical Character, 1908
Abstract The lack of precision of measurements with alternate currents, as compared with those using direct currents, is mainly due to the relative sensitiveness of the instruments available for such tests. The fact that the turning moment acting on the moving system depends in one case on the square of the current and in the other on

Research progress of all fiber optical current sensors in power system

open access: yesXi'an Gongcheng Daxue xuebao, 2023
The measuring current of the traditional electromagnetic transformer is vulnerable to electromagnetic interference and the insulation cost is high, to solve the problem, the all fiber technology has been applied in the power system with its advantages of

Measurement of Coastal Currents

open access: yesCoastal Engineering 1968, 1968
Getting a drift buoy into and over the surf zone in rough weather has always been a problem. A cheap, cold propellant rocket launcher using either compressed air from aqua-lung bottles or liquid carbon dioxide is admirably suited for hurling drift bottles to ranges of over 1,000 feet.

Modeling and Analyzing the Mutual Inductance of Rogowski Coils of Arbitrary Skeleton

open access: yesSensors, 2019
There are Rogowski coils of various shapes in the on-site measurement, and it is difficult to calculate the electrical quantities of Rogowski coils of curved skeleton and circular cross-section by simulation software.

Measurement of Dielectric Liquid Electrification in the Shuttle System with Two Parallel Electrodes

open access: yesEnergies, 2021
In this paper, a device with swinging plate electrodes has been proposed to measure contact electrification of a liquid sample. The proposed structure is composed of two parallel metallic plates immersed in a dielectric liquid.

Current-Distribution Measurement in Polymer Electrolyte Water Electrolysis Equipment and Polymer Electrolyte Fuel Cell Using NMR Sensor

open access: yesJournal of Thermal Science and Technology, 2009
In a polymer electrolyte fuel cell (PEFC), the current density through the polymer electrolyte membrane (PEM) is distributed along the electrode on the membrane electrode assembly (MEA).
