Broken Bar Fault Detection in IM Operating Under No-Load Condition

open access: yesAdvances in Electrical and Computer Engineering, 2016
This paper presents a novel method for broken rotor bar detection in a squirrel-cage induction motor (IM). The proposed method applies a single-phase AC voltage as a test signal on motor terminals, resulting in a stator backward-rotating magnetic field.

Three-Phase Motor Inverter and Current Sensing GaN Power IC

open access: yesSensors, 2023
A three-phase GaN-based motor inverter IC with three integrated phase current mirror sensors (sense-FETs or sense-HEMTs, 1200:1 ratio), a temperature sensor, and an amplifier is presented and experimentally operated.

Electrical Equivalent Circuit of Multi-Tips Pulsed Corona Discharge Reactor [PDF]

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2021
In this work, an electrical model equivalent to the corona discharge reactor has been proposed in a multitips plan configuration, in dry air at atmospheric pressure.

Measurement of Coastal Currents

open access: yesCoastal Engineering 1968, 1968
Getting a drift buoy into and over the surf zone in rough weather has always been a problem. A cheap, cold propellant rocket launcher using either compressed air from aqua-lung bottles or liquid carbon dioxide is admirably suited for hurling drift bottles to ranges of over 1,000 feet.

Alternate current measurement [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the Royal Society of London. Series A, Containing Papers of a Mathematical and Physical Character, 1908
The lack of precision of measurements with alternate currents, as compared with those using direct currents, is mainly due to the relative sensitiveness of the instruments available for such tests. The fact that the turning moment acting on the moving system depends in one case on the square of the current and in the other on the first power of the ...

Switching Techniques for Minimizing Current Measurement Noise in Integrated Single Shunt Power Conversion System With Common DC Link

open access: yesIEEE Access
This paper suggests a technique to reduce noise in DC current measurements within an integrated power conversion system, which includes a three-phase inverter and a full-bridge converter both utilizing single shunt resistors as current sensors. Typically,

Double detected spin-dependent quantum dot

open access: yes, 2012
We study the dynamics of a spin-dependent quantum dot system, where an unsharp and a sharp detection scenario is introduced. The back-action of the unsharp detection related to the magnetization, proposed in terms of the continuous quantum measurement ...

Rogowski Coils with Nickel Alloy Flexible Core and Peroformance Comparisons

open access: yesDüzce Üniversitesi Bilim ve Teknoloji Dergisi
The instantaneous currents must be measured precisely and accurately in order to monitor electrical circuits under different operating conditions. Rogowski Coils (RC) can be easily connected even in narrow spaces where the measuring device cannot enter ...

Statistics and noise in a quantum measurement process

open access: yes, 2000
The quantum measurement process by a single-electron transistor or a quantum point contact coupled to a quantum bit is studied. We find a unified description of the statistics of the monitored quantity, the current, in the regime of strong measurement ...
