Fundamental Frequency Suppression for the Detection of Broken Bar in Induction Motors at Low Slip and Frequency

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2020
Broken rotor bar (BRB) is one of the most common failures in induction motors (IMs) these days; however, its identification is complicated since the frequencies associated with the fault condition appear near the fundamental frequency component (FFC ...

A method for assessing measurement precision and stability of optical probes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
The current strategy for measuring non-specular metre-scale surfaces – for instance segmented freeform optics post-grinding – in the mid- frequency bandwidths (S-filter), involves the use of contact probe based systems where measurement precision is a ...

Predicting Chronicity in Children and Adolescents With Newly Diagnosed Immune Thrombocytopenia at the Timepoint of Diagnosis Using Machine Learning‐Based Approaches

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objectives To identify predictors of chronic ITP (cITP) and to develop a model based on several machine learning (ML) methods to estimate the individual risk of chronicity at the timepoint of diagnosis. Methods We analyzed a longitudinal cohort of 944 children enrolled in the Intercontinental Cooperative immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) Study ...

Measuring Current in a Power Converter Using Fuzzy Automatic Gain Control

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2021
The accuracy of current measurements can be increased by appropriate amplification of the signal to within the measurement range. Accurate current measurement is important for energy monitoring and in power converter control systems.

Detection of finite frequency current moments with a dissipative resonant circuit

open access: yes, 2007
We consider the measurement of higher current moments with a dissipative resonant circuit, which is coupled inductively to a mesoscopic device in the coherent regime.

Pathogenic Germline PALB2 and RAD50 Variants in Patients With Relapsed Ewing Sarcoma

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Approximately 10% of patients with Ewing sarcoma (EwS) have pathogenic germline variants. Here, we report two cases: first, a novel germline pathogenic variant in partner and localizer of BRCA2 (PALB2) in a patient with a late EwS relapse. Its impact on homologous recombination is demonstrated, and breast cancer risk is discussed.

Adaptive filtering-based current reconstruction in non-contact magnetic sensor array measurement system [PDF]

open access: yesMetrology and Measurement Systems, 2019
The non-contact current measurement method with magnetic sensors has become a subject of research. Unfortunately, magnetic sensors fail to distinguish the interested magnetic field from nearby interference and suffer from gauss white noise due to the ...
