Current mode control of frequency controlled resonant converters

INTELEC - Twentieth International Telecommunications Energy Conference (Cat. No.98CH36263), 2002
This paper examines an implementation of the average current mode control (ACMC) in a frequency controlled series resonant converter used in a telecommunication rectifier. This control mode provides very fast output overcurrent protection and improves reliability of the series resonant converter.

Current Mode Control

1997
As pointed out in Chapter 6, the conventional PWM converters are in essence feedback control systems and can therefore be treated accordingly with the available analytical tools, provided some additional steps are taken. The major theme of these types of treatments center, in almost all cases, around two performance merits: output voltage DC regulation

Voltage and Current Regulations of Bidirectional Isolated Dual-Active-Bridge DC–DC Converters Based on a Double-Integral Sliding Mode Control

IEEE transactions on power electronics, 2019
In this paper, a novel control scheme of the bidirectional isolated dual-active-bridge (DAB) dc–dc converters is proposed to regulate the output voltage and current, based on a sliding mode (SM) control.

Simplified Load-Feedforward Control Design for Dual-Active-Bridge Converters With Current-Mode Modulation

IEEE Journal of Emerging and Selected Topics in Power Electronics, 2018
Many power electronic systems require dual-active-bridge (DAB) converters with ultrafast dynamic response. This paper presents a load-feedforward control design for DAB converters with current-mode modulation, which can enhance the dynamic response to ...

Slide mode control via current mode control in DC-DC converters

IEEE International Conference on Systems, Man and Cybernetics, 2003
We first study the behavior of a current-mode-controlled boost converter and exhibit its chaotic behavior (when the duty cycle exceeds 50%). We then introduce a practical method (sliding mode control) aiming at totally eliminating chaos and at keeping the desired current-controlled property.

Sensorless field oriented control using common mode currents

Conference Record of the 2000 IEEE Industry Applications Conference. Thirty-Fifth IAS Annual Meeting and World Conference on Industrial Applications of Electrical Energy (Cat. No.00CH37129), 2002
A simple sensorless field oriented control technique of an induction motor drive is presented, that estimates the angular frequency of the main flux from common mode currents. The proposed technique is effective at any load level and any speed, ranging from zero to rated value and beyond, in the flux weakening region.

Cascadable Current-Controlled Current-Mode Multifunction Filter Using CDTAs

2007 International Symposium on Integrated Circuits, 2007
The cascadable current-controlled current-mode multifunction filter with three inputs and one output using current differencing transconductance amplifiers (CDTAs) as active components is presented. The proposed configuration comprising only three CDTAs and two grounded capacitors provides low-input and high-output impedances, which is advantageous ...

Electronically Controllable Current-Mode Instrumentation Amplifiers

2018
In this chapter, Current-Mode Instrumentation Amplifiers (CMIAs) with the capability of having an electronically controllable gain are discussed. These CMIAs do not require variable passive resistors to change gain but the latter is adjusted by means of a control voltage or current.

Current mode controlled bidirectional flyback converter

20th Annual IEEE Power Electronics Specialists Conference, 2003
A description is given of a current-mode-controlled bidirectional flyback converter handling different values of power in either direction. The flyback transformer operates in a continuous conduction mode in one direction and in a discontinuous conduction mode in the other direction of power flow.

A PLL-based current-mode PWM circuit suitable for current-mode controlled techniques

2008 9th International Conference on Solid-State and Integrated-Circuit Technology, 2008
A wide-range current-mode pulse-width modulation circuit for current-mode controlled techniques is presented in this paper. The proposed circuit has been designed and implemented using 0.35-?m CMOS 2P4M process. The core die size is around 95×115 ?m2 . The experimental results show that the variation of the output frequency within ±0.25%.
