A Spectrally Interrogated Polarimetric Optical Fiber Sensor for Current Measurement with Temperature Correction

open access: yesSensors, 2023
We report on a study of the temperature dependence of the response of a BSO crystal based polarimetric current sensor with spectral interrogation. Two possible interrogation schemes are discussed. The spectral dependence of the optical rotation along the

High Accuracy Open-Type Current Sensor with a Differential Planar Hall Resistive Sensor

open access: yesSensors, 2018
In this paper, we propose a high accuracy open-type current sensor with a differential Planar Hall Resistive (PHR) sensor. Conventional open-type current sensors with magnetic sensors are usually vulnerable to interference from an external magnetic field.

Gradient-Type Magnetoelectric Current Sensor with Strong Multisource Noise Suppression

open access: yesSensors, 2018
A novel gradient-type magnetoelectric (ME) current sensor operating in magnetic field gradient (MFG) detection and conversion mode is developed based on a pair of ME composites that have a back-to-back capacitor configuration under a baseline separation ...

Current Trends on Green Wireless Sensor Networks [PDF]

open access: yesSensors, 2021
The issue of energy balancing in Wireless Sensor Networks is a pivotal one, crucial in their deployment. This problem can be subdivided in three areas: (i) energy conservation techniques, usually implying minimizing the cost of communication at the nodes since it is known that the radio is the biggest consumer of the available energy; (ii) energy ...

A High-Sensitivity Current Sensor Utilizing CrNi Wire and Microfiber Coils

open access: yesSensors, 2014
We obtain an extremely high current sensitivity by wrapping a section of microfiber on a thin-diameter chromium-nickel wire. Our detected current sensitivity is as high as 220.65 nm/A2 for a structure length of only 35 μm.

Current energetic particle sensors [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Space Physics, 2016
AbstractSeveral energetic particle sensors designed to make measurements in the current decade are described and their technology and capabilities discussed and demonstrated. Most of these instruments are already on orbit or approaching launch. These include the Magnetic Electron Ion Spectrometers (MagEIS) and the Relativistic Electron Proton Telescope

Design of a VDF/TrFE Copolymer-on-silicon pyroelectric sensor [PDF]

open access: yes, 1994
This paper presents a design of a VDF/TrFE copolymer-on-silicon pyroelectric sensor. For an optimal design of a VDF/TrFE-on-silicon pyroelectric sensor, the one-dimensional diffusion equation is solved for the pyroelectric multilayer structure.
