Laser‐Induced Graphene from Waste Almond Shells
Almond shells, an abundant agricultural by‐product, are repurposed to create a fully bioderived almond shell/chitosan composite (ASC) degradable in soil. ASC is converted into laser‐induced graphene (LIG) by laser scribing and proposed as a substrate for transient electronics.

Biomass Native Structure Into Functional Carbon‐Based Catalysts for Fenton‐Like Reactions
This study indicates that eight biomasses with 2D flaky and 1D acicular structures influence surface O types, morphology, defects, N doping, sp2 C, and Co nanoparticles loading in three series of carbon, N‐doped carbon, and cobalt/graphitic carbon. This work identifies how these structural factors impact catalytic pathways, enhancing selective electron

Equilibrium and dynamics of collisionless current sheets
In this thesis examples of translationally invariant one-dimensional (1D) Vlasov-Maxwell (VM) equilibria are investigated. The 1D VM equilibrium equations are equivalent to the motion of a pseudoparticle in a conservative pseudopotential, with the ...

Evidence of a Subkinetic Spectral Break in a Strongly Turbulent Collisionless Plasma
We investigate the magnetic ( B ) and electric ( E ) field spectra in the dissipation range of strong turbulence of a collisionless plasma. This investigation, which is relevant to turbulence studies in many astrophysical settings, is enabled by high ...

Shellac, a centuries‐old natural resin, is reimagined as a green material for flexible electronics. When combined with silver nanowires, shellac films deliver transparency, conductivity, and stability against humidity. These results position shellac as a sustainable alternative to synthetic polymers for transparent conductors in next‐generation ...

Aspects of current sheet theory [PDF]
Current sheets are widely believed to play an important role in astrophysics when regions of magnetic flux are in motion. Several models based on the formation of current sheets have been proposed to explain such phenomena as geomagnetic storms, solar ...

Magnetotail Current Sheet Prior to Magnetic Reconnection
International audienceThe onset of magnetic reconnection is one of the crucial and still poorly understood problems. The Magnetospheric Multiscale (MMS) mission provides a unique opportunity for the long-term monitoring the Earth's magnetotail current ...

Multiscale experiments and modeling reveal how Ti3C2Tx MXene nanosheets reinforce PVDF nanocomposites. An optimal MXene loading (∼1 wt.%) nearly doubles tensile strength through efficient stress transfer, flake alignment, and crack‐deflection mechanisms, transforming ductile polymer behavior into a controlled multi‐stage fracture pathway which aligns ...
