A new combination in Strophopappus (Asteraceae, Vernonieae, Lepidaploinae)
Nordic Journal of Botany, Volume 2026, Issue 9, September 2026.Revisions of herbarium collections reveal a new combination in Strophopappus (Asteraceae, Vernonieae, Lepidaploinae). Strophopappus comprises nine species occurring in South America, eight of which are endemic to Brazil. Currently, Vernonia riedeliana is treated as a synonym of Strophopappus bicolor.
