Multidimensional curve classification using passing-through regions

Pattern Recognition Letters, 1999
Abstract A new method is proposed for classifying sets of a variable number of points and curves in a multidimensional space as time series. Almost all classifiers proposed so far assume that there is a constant number of features and they cannot treat a variable number of features. To cope with this difficulty, we examine a fixed number of questions

Simulation Analysis on Passing Curve of Urban Track Vehicle

Advanced Materials Research, 2011
In order to study the curve passing performance of urban track vehicle and to evaluate its safety, the calculation model was established and simplified. Then track irregularity was used as input and passing curve was set up. The simulation modal was produced with software SIMPACK.

A Bayesian Method for Evaluating Passing Scores: The PPoP Curve

Journal of Educational Measurement, 2005
In this note, we demonstrate an interesting use of the posterior distributions (and corresponding posterior samples of proficiency) that are yielded by fitting a fully Bayesian test scoring model to a complex assessment. Specifically, we examine the efficacy of the test in combination with the specific passing score that was chosen through expert ...

Prediction of no-recrystallization temperature by simulation of multi-pass flow stress curves from single-pass curves

Journal of Materials Science, 2010
In this investigation an algorithm is given to simulate the flow stress curves for multi-pass hot deformation processes simply from the data obtained from single-pass hot torsion test. Using the obtained multi-pass curves the value of no-recrystallization temperature (Tnr) is calculated. This method is examined on a Nb-microalloyed steel. Maximum error

A Design for FSS on Curved Band-Pass Radome

Advanced Materials Research, 2011
Frequency Selective Surfaces(FSS) are periodic array structure, generally, FSS are designed on plane structure. In this article, design of FSS for curved radome will be developed. the parameter of FSS, which have some frequency response, will be given through simulation and optimization, and FSS plane model will be manufactured.

Accommodative stimulus-response curves to low-pass filtered natural images

Graefe's Archive for Clinical and Experimental Ophthalmology, 2018
To assess how the monocular steady-state accommodative stimulus-response curve is modified when viewing low-pass filtered natural images.Eighteen adult subjects participated in the study. The accommodative stimulus-response curve was objectively assessed by means of a Hartmann-Shack wavefront sensor.

Finding the point on Bezier curves with the normal vector passing an external point

International Journal of Modelling, Identification and Control, 2006
Two algorithms for finding the point on non-rational/rational Bezier curves of which the normal vector passes through a given external point are presented. The algorithms are based on Bezier curves generation algorithms of de Casteljau's algorithm for non-rational Bezier curve or Farin's recursion for rational Bezier curve, respectively.
