Evaluation of hypersingular integrals on curvilinear surface elements

open access: yes2016 10th European Conference on Antennas and Propagation (EuCAP), 2016
In this study finite part integrals are utilized for evaluation of hypersingular and nearly-hypersingular surface integrals on curvilinear elements. These integrals are related to the second derivative of the free space Green' function and arise in the solution of electric field integral equation (EFIE) via locally corrected Nystrom (LCN) method.

Strongly near-singular integral evaluation for curvilinear elements

2012 6th European Conference on Antennas and Propagation (EUCAP), 2012
This paper presents the numerical solution of strongly near-singular integrals, involving the gradient of Helmholtz-type potentials, defined over curvilinear elements. The proposed numerical integration scheme is based on appropriate variable transformations able to exactly cancel the nearly singular kernel.

Integrable curvilinear billiards

Physics Letters A, 1986
Abstract We investigate the existence of integrable two-dimensional billiards with curvilinear boundaries. A systematic method for the construction of such systems is developed. Apart from the well-known rectangular, circular and ellipsoidal integrable billiards, new shapes are obtained related to parabolic boundaries.
