Double cusp encounter by Cluster: double cusp or motion of the cusp? [PDF]

open access: yesAnnales Geophysicae, 2013
Abstract. Modelling plasma entry in the polar cusp has been successful in reproducing ion dispersions observed in the cusp at low and mid-altitudes. The use of a realistic convection pattern, when the IMF-By is large and stable, allowed Wing et al. (2001) to predict double cusp signatures that were subsequently observed by the DMSP spacecraft.

Cusp summations and cusp relations of simple quad lenses [PDF]

open access: yesMonthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society, 2015
We review five often used quad lens models, each of which has analytical solutions and can produce four images at most. Each lens model has two parameters, including one that describes the intensity of non-dimensional mass density, and the other one that describes the deviation from the circular lens. In our recent work, we have found that the cusp and

The Cusp–Halo Relation

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
Abstract Simulations have established that each halo of collisionless dark matter is expected to contain a ρ  =  Ar −1.5 density cusp at its center.

Adult Supracristal Ventricular Septal Defect with Aortic Regurgitation: A Case Report [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Clinical and Diagnostic Research, 2021
Supracristal Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD) develops Aortic Regurgitation (AR) with the passage of time due to prolapse of the right coronary cusp.

the pulsating cusp [PDF]

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, 1990
Recent observations at the magnetopause and of the high‐latitude ionosphere, suggest that the cusp may be pulsed in nature. Specifically ground‐based observations in the dayside auroral oval reveal transient optical features accompanied by bursts of enhanced plasma flow.

Hidden Cusps [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
This paper investigates a situation pointed out in a recent paper, in which a non-singular change of assembly mode of a planar 2-RPR-PR parallel manipulator was realized by encircling a point of multiplicity 4. It is shown that this situation is, in fact, a non-generic one and gives rise to cusps under a small perturbation.
