Mixed cusp forms and holomorphic forms on elliptic varieties [PDF]

open access: yesPacific Journal of Mathematics, 1988
Let \(E^m\) be an elliptic variety, that means the resolution of the singularities of the \(m\)-times fibre product \(E\times_{\pi}\dots\times_{\pi}E\to X\) of an elliptic fibration \(\pi: E\to X\). The author generalizes the results for elliptic surface \((m=1)\) [see \textit{B. Hunt} and \textit{W. Meyer}, Math. Ann. 271, 53--80 (1985; Zbl 0533.14019)

Hospital Readmission After Traumatic Brain Injury Hospitalization in Community‐Dwelling Older Adults

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To examine the risk of hospital readmission after an index hospitalization for TBI in older adults. Methods Using data from the Atherosclerosis Risk in Communities (ARIC) study, we used propensity score matching of individuals with an index TBI‐related hospitalization to individuals with (1) non‐TBI hospitalizations (primary analysis)

Complementarity of Long‐Reads and Optical Mapping in Parkinson's Disease for Structural Variants

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Long‐read sequencing and optical genome mapping technologies have the ability to detect large and complex structural variants. This has led to the discovery of novel pathogenic variants in neurodegenerative movement disorders. Thus, we aimed to systematically compare the SV detection capabilities of OGM and ONT in Parkinson's disease.

Hecke operators on period functions for the full modular group

open access: yes, 2004
Matrix representations of Hecke operators on classical holomorphical cusp forms and corresponding period polynomials are well known. In this article we define Hecke operators on period functions and show that they correspond to the Hecke operators on ...

Hip Morphology–Based Osteoarthritis Risk Prediction Models: Development and External Validation Using Individual Participant Data From the World COACH Consortium

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective This study aims to develop hip morphology‐based radiographic hip osteoarthritis (RHOA) risk prediction models and investigates the added predictive value of hip morphology measurements and the generalizability to different populations. Methods We combined data from nine prospective cohort studies participating in the Worldwide Collaboration ...

High power sums of Fourier coefficients of holomorphic cusp forms and their applications

open access: yesAIMS Mathematics
Let $ \lambda_f(n) $ be the $ n $th normalized Fourier coefficient of a holomorphic cusp form $ f $ for the full modular group. In this paper, we established asymptotic formulae for high power sums of Fourier coefficients of cusp forms and further ...

Exploring Patients’ Profiles Associated With the Resolution of Acute Calcium Pyrophosphate Arthritis Treated With Colchicine and Prednisone: Post Hoc Analysis of a Randomized Controlled Trial

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective The objective was to identify factors determining acute arthritis resolution and safety with colchicine and prednisone in acute calcium pyrophosphate (CPP) crystal arthritis. Methods We conducted a post hoc analysis of the COLCHICORT trial, which compared colchicine and prednisone for the treatment of acute CPP crystal arthritis, using a ...

Extension of the discrete universality theorem for zeta-functions of certain cusp forms

open access: yesNonlinear Analysis, 2018
In the paper, an universality theorem on the approximation of analytic functions by generalized discrete shifts of zeta functions of Hecke-eigen cusp forms is obtained.

Enhancing Corrosion Resistance and Mechanical Strength of 3D‐Printed Iron Polylactic Acid for Marine Applications via Laser Surface Texturing

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Laser surface texturing significantly improves the corrosion resistance and mechanical strength of 3D‐printed iron polylactic acid (Ir‐PLA) for marine applications. Optimal laser parameters reduce corrosion by 80% and enhance tensile strength by 25% and ductility by 15%.

What Do Large Language Models Know About Materials?

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
If large language models (LLMs) are to be used inside the material discovery and engineering process, they must be benchmarked for the accurateness of intrinsic material knowledge. The current work introduces 1) a reasoning process through the processing–structure–property–performance chain and 2) a tool for benchmarking knowledge of LLMs concerning ...
