Recent observations at the magnetopause and of the high‐latitude ionosphere, suggest that the cusp may be pulsed in nature. Specifically ground‐based observations in the dayside auroral oval reveal transient optical features accompanied by bursts of enhanced plasma flow.

This paper investigates a situation pointed out in a recent paper, in which a non-singular change of assembly mode of a planar 2-RPR-PR parallel manipulator was realized by encircling a point of multiplicity 4. It is shown that this situation is, in fact, a non-generic one and gives rise to cusps under a small perturbation.

Morphological Study of Chordae Tendinae in Human Cadaveric Hearts
Objectives: The chordae tendinae (CT) are strong, fibrous connections between the valve leaflets and the papillary muscles. Dysfunction of the papillary muscles and chordae is frequent.

Gasparyan Method of Total Autologous Reconstruction of the Aortic Valve [PDF]
In this case report, I describe a new technique for total reconstruction of the aortic valve with autologous pericardium. The parameters of the cusps were calculated using very simple formulas after measurement of the aortic root intercommissural ...

Double cusp encounter by Cluster: double cusp or motion of the cusp? [PDF]
Abstract. Modelling plasma entry in the polar cusp has been successful in reproducing ion dispersions observed in the cusp at low and mid-altitudes. The use of a realistic convection pattern, when the IMF-By is large and stable, allowed Wing et al. (2001) to predict double cusp signatures that were subsequently observed by the DMSP spacecraft.

Short‐term observations of double‐peaked Na emission from Mercury's exosphere
We report the analysis of short‐term ground‐based observations of the exospheric Na emission (D1 and D2 lines) from Mercury, which was characterized by two high‐latitude peaks confined near the magnetospheric cusp footprints. During a series of scheduled
