A Long‐Lived Human Neurovascular PENTA Culture Model Captures Incomplete Vascular Repair and Glia‐Associated Signaling After Traumatic Brain Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A long‐lived, five‐cell‐type human neurovascular (PENTA) model recreates vascular disorganization and incomplete repair after traumatic brain injury (TBI). By integrating endothelial, glial, neuronal, and immune components within a 3D scaffold, the platform enables time‐resolved analysis of neurovascular remodeling and provides a human‐relevant system ...

Characterization of wheat cuticle and wheat cuticle-related transcription factor genes in relation to drought [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
The plant cuticle forms a hydrophobic layer covering the epidermis of aerial organs of a plant, and plays important roles in plant development and protection against environmental stresses.

Self‐Assembled Skin Equivalents with Monoclonal CRISPR/Cas9‐Modified N/TERT‐1 Keratinocytes: A Cutting‐Edge model for Human Skin and its Diseases

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Self‐assembled, scaffold‐free full‐thickness skin equivalents with monoclonal, genetically modified N/TERT‐1 keratinocytes represent a novel in vitro model of human skin and skin diseases. The model is highly robust, reproducible, physiologically relevant, and suitable for high‐throughput applications.

Analysis of the cuticle of two species of grain storage pest and interaction with germination of entomopathogenic fungi

open access: yes, 2016
This thesis compares the early stages in germination and infection of two entomopathogenic fungi, Metarhizium anisopliae and Beauveria bassiana on the cuticle of two important pest of grain, the beetles Tribolium castaneum and Rhyzopertha dominica using ...

Adaptable Covalent Organic Framework‐Hydrogel Microneedles for Glucose‐Responsive Isoliquiritigenin Delivery in Diabetic Wound Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
We develop a covalent organic framework‐loaded Traditional Chinese Medicine monomer nanodrug delivery system (ISL@bCOF) via boron‐oxygen bonds, a smart response to glucose for delivering AI‐driven isoliquiritigenin (ISL) targeting ZBP1. This dynamic release mechanism, combined with transdermal delivery technology via potent microneedles, can modulate ...

Microsphere‐Templated Conductive Syntactic Foams for Recyclable and Additively Manufactured Soft Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This work introduces a microsphere‐templated strategy to fabricate reprocessable PEDOT:PSS syntactic foams with tunable porosity, stable conductivity, and 3D printability. In situ PEDOT:PSS coatings create a conductive network that maintains electrical performance at high void fractions.

Engineered AuNPs/fMWCNT Nanocomposite Electrodes for High‐Sensitivity Methylglyoxal Sensing in Saliva and Sweat for Non‐Invasive Diabetes Monitoring

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
An AuNPs/fMWCNT nanocomposite‐modified screen‐printed carbon electrode was engineered via sequential electrodeposition and integrated into a 3D‐printed microfluidic platform for ultrasensitive methylglyoxal detection. The non‐invasive sensing platform enables rapid analysis in saliva and sweat, highlighting strong potential for wearable point‐of‐care ...

Cuticle supplement for plant production

open access: yes, 2019
The plant cuticle is an extracellular hydrophobic layer that covers the aerial epidermis of all land plants. The cuticle plays an important role in maintaining overall crop health and quality. The physiological role of the cuticle extends well beyond its
