Conductive Hydrogels for Exogenous Sensing and Cell Fate Control

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
We engineer electrically conductive hydrogels by combining sulfated glycosaminoglycans with semiconducting polymers. These hydrogels bind bioactive proteins, including growth factors, whose release or retention can be modulated by low‐voltage stimulation. The hydrogels are also integrated as 3D channels in organic electrochemical transistors as part of

SEM Study of Hair Cuticle in Some Canidae Breeds

open access: yesBulletin of University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine Cluj-Napoca. Animal Science and Biotechnologies, 2015
Hair fibre study is very actual due to its implications especially in forensic medical expertise. The usual and SEM microscopic morphology of primary hair fibres collected from mature male dogs of five well-known breeds: Husky, Bichon Maltese, Golden retriever, Labrador and German Shepherd were studied.

Engineered Living Systems With Self‐Organizing Neural Networks: From Anatomy to Behavior and Gene Expression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Ectodermal tissue excised from Xenopus embryos self‐organizes into a three‐dimensional mucociliary organoid. Here, we generate a neural variant, termed neurobot, by implanting neural precursor cells. Neurobots develop mature neurons, adopt distinct morphologies, exhibit more complex motility, and respond differentially to neuroactive compounds. Imaging

Promoting Treg Polarization‐Mediated Anti‐Scar and Appendage Regeneration in Wound Healing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study develops a PLGA@LA‐BMP4‐PG bilayer scaffold to address scar formation and appendage loss in skin repair. The piezoelectric PLA layer enhances cell migration via electric fields, while GelMA delivers LA promoting Tregs polarization and BMP4 inhibiting FBs differentiation.
