Influence of drag finishing parameters on the cutting edge radius of solid carbide mills

open access: yesIOP Conference Series: Materials Science and Engineering, 2020
Abstract Paper deals with the cutting-edge preparation of milling tools by drag finishing. The aim of the experiment was to determine the optimal parameters of the process on a prototype device for edge preparation. The prototype device was based on a 3-axis milling centre and the drag finishing media used was Al2O3 granulating.
