Investigation of Laser Ablation and Brush Pre‐Treatments for AlCu Cold Roll Bonding in Oxygen‐Free Conditions

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
It is shown that laser ablation pretreatment under oxygen‐free conditions enables copper–aluminium bonding at significantly lower deformation degrees and improved properties compared to mechanical brushing. Laser ablation further increases interface contact area and induces favourable residual stress states and microstructural compatibility ...

Selection of Optimal Condition for Reducing Dimensional Error of Holes in Dry Cutting of Polyacetal Resin with Indexible Drill [PDF]

open access: yes한국정밀공학회지
In this study, polyacetal plates were machined with an indexable drill (Ø18mm) to measure the dimensional error of holes according to the cutting conditions and investigate the influencing factors to obtain precision holes.

Characterization of Nitinol Produced by Laser Powder Bed Fusion for Mechanical Metamaterial Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Stabilization of L‐PBF Ni50.7Ti49.3 under low‐cycle loading was investigated. Recoverable strain after cycling was dependent on the amount of applied load. Recovery ratio was 53.4% and 35.1% at intermediate and high load, respectively. The maximum total strain reached 10.3% at a high load of 1200 MPa.

Study on the Mechanism of Stick-Slip Vibration Based on Single-Cutter Rock Breaking Finite Element Simulation

open access: yesShiyou jixie, 2021
The deep and complex formations in oil and gas exploration and development have the characteristics of high pore pressure, high temperature, high rock hardness, strong plasticity and poor drillability, which have brought many challenges to drilling ...

The Modus Vivendi of Persons with Schizophrenia: Valueception Impairment and Phenomenological Reduction [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
So far, the value dimension underlying affectivity disorders has remained out of focus in phenomenological psychopathology. As early as at the beginning of the 20th century, however, German phenomenologist Max Scheler examined in depth the relationship ...

The Ratio of Feed to Depth of Cut in Metal Cutting

open access: yesJournal of the Japan Society of Precision Engineering, 1962
When a metal is cut simultaniously by end and side cutting edges of a tool with the back rake angle i and side rake angle λ, the chip flows to a definite direction determined not only by the rake angles, but also by the ratio of feed to depth of cut.The optimum chip-flow direction of minimum energy can be controlled by choosing the ratio of feed to ...

Reduction of Oxide Inclusions During the High‐Frequency Welding of Steel via a Nonthermal Ar/H2 Plasma Jet

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
High‐frequency (HF) welding of steel is limited by oxide inclusions that degrade weld quality. This study demonstrates, for the first time, the integration of a nonthermal Ar/H2 dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) plasma jet into HF welding. Local plasma treatment provides effective shielding and in‐situ oxide reduction, resulting in markedly fewer and ...
