Influence of cutting technology on properties of Ni-Mn-Ga single crystalline actuator elements

open access: yes, 2022
S.667-670For the production of Ni-Mn-Ga single crystalline actuator elements different cutting technologies (wire eroding, diamond wire cutting, water jet cutting, dicing and sawing) were tested and compared.

The role of miR‐335‐5p in the redifferentiation of BRAF p.V600E thyroid cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The BRAF p.V600E mutation promotes thyroid cancer dedifferentiation and radioiodine resistance. Using a network approach, we identified miR‐335‐5p as a key regulator of BRAF‐mutated thyroid tumors. Restoring miR‐335‐5p increased thyroid‐specific gene expression and iodine uptake in cells and organoids.

Cutting equipment

open access: yes, 2022
The subject of this thesis is to desing a cutting equipment for cutting wires from wire mesh. In theoretical part the cutting proces and elements which appear in the proces are described. In the practical part these finding are used to create a design of

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Hypoplastic particle finite element model for cutting tool-soil interaction simulations: Numerical analysis and experimental validation

open access: yesUnderground Space, 2018
This study presents numerical and experimental models for the analysis of the excavation of soft soils by means of a cutting tool. The computational model is constructed using an Updated Lagrangean (UL) velocity-based Finite Element approach.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Subtype‐specific enhancer RNAs define transcriptional regulators and prognosis in breast cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study employed machine learning methodologies to perform the subtype‐specific classification of RNA‐seq data sets, which are mapped on enhancers from TCGA‐derived breast cancer patients. Their integration with gene expression (referred to as ProxCReAM eRNAs) and chromatin accessibility profiles has the potential to identify lineage‐specific and ...

Automation of assessment of the strain state of metal cutting machine mechanism elements on the basis of response function application [PDF]

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2019
The article dwells upon the assessment of the strain state of metal-cutting machines with the help of the numerical method of finite elements in the form of displacements.

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Identification Algorithm for Instantaneous Engaged Cutting Edge Elements in Five-Axis Milling

open access: yes, 2011
An identification algorithm for instantaneous engaged cutting edge elements in five-axis milling is presented in this paper. An application of curve and surface intersection is used for filtering the engaged cutting edge elements roughly on any cutter ...
