Phosphoinositides and inositol phosphates as molecular glues

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Inositol phosphates (IPs) and phosphoinositides (PIPs) regulate diverse eukaryotic processes. Beyond recruiting signaling proteins or acting as structural cofactors, recent studies suggest they mediate protein–protein interactions as natural molecular glues.

A nontangential cutting plane algorithm [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
The cutting plane algorithm typically generates cuts that are tangential, or nearly so, to the Lagrangian dual function of the underlying optimization problem.

Modified cutting-plane integration scheme for elasto-viscoplastic models

open access: yesYantu gongcheng xuebao, 2020
The elasto-viscoplastic model can be regarded as a combination of the modified Cam-clay model and the overstress theory. Firstly, the stress-strain formulas for the model are rearranged, in which an evolution equation for the hardening parameter of ...

Modelling stem cell differentiation related processes—A practical overview for biologists

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Stem cell differentiation is complex and difficult to control experimentally. This review introduces suitable computational modelling approaches that can support stem cell research, from mechanistic ODE and abstract models to multiscale and deep learning methods.

Generalized fractional programming and cutting plane algorithms [PDF]

open access: yes, 1995
In this paper, we introduce a variant of a cutting plane algorithm and show that this algorithm reduces to the well-known Dinkelbach-type procedure of Crouzeix, Ferland, and Schaible if the optimization problem is a generalized fractional program.

Using of Modified Simplex Imbeddings Method for Solving Special Class of Convex Non-Differentiable Optimization Problems

open access: yesИзвестия Иркутского государственного университета: Серия "Математика", 2015
In this paper it is considered the modified simplex imbeddings method, which is related to the class of cutting plane methods. The main feature of this method is the convergence estimation, which depends only on the quantity of simplex vertices, that are

Identification of the plant mitochondrial OrfX protein: A mass spectrometry approach

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The mitochondrial genome of plants contains an open reading frame, orfx, which encodes a rare protein that has so far escaped mass spectrometric detection. The protein resembles the c‐subunit of bacterial twin‐arginine‐motif‐dependent protein translocases (TatC).

Research Again On the Cutting Plane Method Resolving ILP Problems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
How to resolve ILP problems is all along hotspot subject In the Operation Research region. The author of the paper, by the demonstration research method, analyzed the errors of Cutting Plane Method used in resolving ILP, and put forth a new principle, i ...

The role of miR‐335‐5p in the redifferentiation of BRAF p.V600E thyroid cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The BRAF p.V600E mutation promotes thyroid cancer dedifferentiation and radioiodine resistance. Using a network approach, we identified miR‐335‐5p as a key regulator of BRAF‐mutated thyroid tumors. Restoring miR‐335‐5p increased thyroid‐specific gene expression and iodine uptake in cells and organoids.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...
