Mechanical impact tests of materials in oxygen effects of contamination [PDF]
The effect of contaminants on the mechanical impact sensitivity of Teflon, stainless steel, and aluminum in a high-pressure oxygen environment was investigated. Uncontaminated Teflon did not ignite under the test conditions.

A tri‐culture of iPSC‐derived neurons, astrocytes, and microglia treated with ferroptosis inducers as an Induced ferroptosis model was characterized by scRNA‐seq, cell survival, and cytokine release assays. This analysis revealed diverse microglial transcriptomic changes, indicating that the system captures key aspects of the complex cellular ...

STORAGE OF CUT CHRYSANTHEMUMS AT DIFFERENT CUTTING TEMPERATURES
The objective of this research was the evaluation of postharvest quality of ‘Yoko ono’ and ‘Statesman’ chrysanthemums, stored at different temperatures. The experiment was carried out in a plastic greenhouse, at Cordeirópolis, São Paulo State, Brazil (22º28’55”S, 47º27’24”W and altitude 668 m).

Meta‐analysis fails to show any correlation between protein abundance and ubiquitination changes
We analyzed over 50 published proteomics datasets to explore the relationship between protein levels and ubiquitination changes across multiple experimental conditions and biological systems. Although ubiquitination is often associated with protein degradation, our analysis shows that changes in ubiquitination do not globally correlate with changes in ...

Promiscuous stimulation of HSP70 ATPase activity by parasite‐derived J‐domains
The malaria parasite Plasmodium falciparum exports three highly homologous yet functionally divergent J‐domain proteins into human erythrocytes. Here, we show that J‐domains isolated from all three proteins effectively stimulate the ATPase activity of both endogenous host and exported parasite HSP70 chaperones.

Cutaneous Melanoma Drives Metabolic Changes in the Aged Bone Marrow Immune Microenvironment
Melanoma, the deadliest form of skin cancer, increasingly affects older adults. Our study reveals that melanoma induces changes in iron and lipid levels in the bone marrow, impacting immune cell populations and increasing susceptibility to ferroptosis.

Effects of a Cut, Lorentz-Boosted sky on the Angular Power Spectrum
The largest fluctuation in the observed CMB temperature field is the dipole, its origin being usually attributed to the Doppler Effect - the Earth's velocity with respect to the CMB rest frame.

In metal cutting, a large amount of mechanical energy converts into heat, leading to a rapid temperature rise. Excessive heat accelerates tool wear, shortens tool life, and hinders chip breakage.

Performance evaluation of biodegradable metalworking fluids for machining process [PDF]
The widely use of metalworking fluids (MWFs) petroleum-based in the industry have a negative impact to the environment and human. Thus, various initiatives have been undertaken to develop bio-based MWFs especially from crude jatropha oil (CJO).
