Msp1 and Pex19‐Pex3 cooperate to achieve correct localization of Pex15 to peroxisomes

open access: yesThe FEBS Journal, EarlyView.
In this study, we analyzed how the dual‐localized AAA‐ATPase Msp1 handles Pex15. We show that newly synthesized Pex15 is primarily targeted to peroxisomes via the Pex19‐Pex3 pathway. Mitochondrial Msp1 extracts mistargeted Pex15, which is either sent to the ER via the GET pathway for degradation or redirected to peroxisomes via the Pex19‐Pex3 ...

CAB: Towards the RNA-world in the interstellar medium -- detection of urea, and search of 2-amino-oxazole and simple sugars [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2020
In the past decade, Astrochemistry has witnessed an impressive increase in the number of detections of complex organic molecules. Some of these species are of prebiotic interest such as glycolaldehyde, the simplest sugar, or amino acetonitrile, a possible precursor of glycine. Recently, we have reported the detection of two new nitrogen-bearing complex

Light Limitation and Foliar Pathogenic Infection Impact Phloem Anatomy and Function in Pinus radiata D. Don

open access: yesPlant, Cell &Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Phloem plays a major role in plant physiology, health and growth. However, little research has addressed the impact of biotic and abiotic stressors on phloem structure and development. This study extends recent interest on stress impact on phloem to further understand its physiological limits by exploring a common combination of stressors ...

Clubroot Disease in South Asia: Distribution and Management Practices

open access: yesPlant Pathology, Volume 74, Issue 3, Page 669-684, April 2025.
The paper highlights the status of clubroot research in South Asia; six of eight countries reported the disease. Current studies mainly focus on disease transmission modes and management strategies. ABSTRACT Clubroot, caused by the biotrophic protist Plasmodiophora brassicae, is a devastating root disease that affects all members of the Brassicaceae ...

Cyanamide Potentiates the Ethanol-Induced Impairment of Receptor-Mediated Endocytosis in a Recombinant Hepatic Cell Line Expressing Alcohol Dehydrogenase Activity

open access: yesInternational Journal of Hepatology, 2012
Ethanol administration has been shown to alter receptor-mediated endocytosis in the liver. We have developed a recombinant hepatic cell line stably transfected with murine alcohol dehydrogenase cDNA to serve as an in vitro model to investigate these ...

Thiazolidin-2-cyanamides derivatives as novel potent Escherichia coli β-glucuronidase inhibitors and their structure–inhibitory activity relationships

open access: yesJournal of Enzyme Inhibition and Medicinal Chemistry, 2020
Gut microbial β-glucuronidases have the ability to deconjugate glucuronides of some drugs, thus have been considered as an important drug target to alleviate the drug metabolites-induced gastrointestinal toxicity.

Synthesis, Crystal Structure, and Chemical-Bonding Analysis of BaZn(NCN)2

open access: yesInorganics, 2017
The ternary carbodiimide BaZn(NCN)2 was prepared by a solid-state metathesis reaction between BaF2, ZnF2, and Li2NCN in a 1:1:2 molar ratio, and its crystal structure was determined from Rietveld refinement of X-ray data.

Influência da cianamida hidrogenada na brotação e produção da videira 'Niagara Rosada' na região oeste do Paraná Influence of hydrogenous cyanamide in the sprouting and production of 'Niagara Rosada' grapevine, in the west region of the State of Paraná

Origin of life's building blocks in Carbon and Nitrogen rich surface hydrothermal vents [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2019
There are two dominant and contrasting classes of origin of life scenarios: those predicting that life emerged in submarine hydrothermal systems, where chemical disequilibrium can provide an energy source for nascent life; and those predicting that life emerged within subaerial environments, where UV catalysis of reactions may occur to form the ...
