A potential route for ZnSiN2 formation from zinc cyanamide and SiO2‐based precursor via the facile, low‐temperature process

open access: yesJournal of the American Ceramic Society, Volume 108, Issue 6, June 2025.
Wurtzite‐type ZnSiN2–SiO2 composite was obtained at low temperature below 1000°C and under ambient pressure from Zn‐contained SiO2‐based precursor and urea. Analysis of the formation mechanism showed that zinc cyanamide, the intermediate product of the reaction, contributes to the formation of ZnSiN2.

An efficient and catalyst-free synthesis of N-arylidene-2-arylimidazo[1,2-a]pyridine-3-ylamine derivatives via Strecker reaction under controlled microwave heating

open access: yesGreen Processing and Synthesis, 2017
An efficient one-pot multicomponent reaction of 2-aminopyridine with aromatic aldehydes and either benzoyl cyanide or cyanamide in pyridine under controlled microwave heating afforded N-aryldene-2-arylimidazo[1,2-a]-pyridine-3-ylamine derivatives.

Pyrimidine Acyclo-C-Nucleosides by Ring Transformations of 2-Formyl-L-arabinal

open access: yesMolecules, 2005
The protected 2-formyl-L-arabinal 2 reacted with thiourea and cyanamide in the presence of sodium hydride to afford via ring transformations the 5-[1R,2S-1,2- bis(benzyloxy)-3-hydroxypropyl]-1,2-dihydropyrimidines 3 and 4, respectively.

Multi‐omics analysis of the regulatory network in winter buds of ‘Cabernet Sauvignon’ grapevine from dormancy to bud break

open access: yesPlant Biotechnology Journal, Volume 23, Issue 6, Page 2110-2124, June 2025.
Summary Winter dormancy and bud break are crucial to the viability, adaptability and yield of fruit trees, but not all metabolic activities or regulatory factors involved in maintaining and breaking dormancy are known. Here, winter buds, spanning from natural dormancy to bud break, were collected from ‘Cabernet Sauvignon’ grapevines maintained outdoors

Microwave-assisted efficient one-pot synthesis of N2-(tetrazol-5-yl)-6-aryl/heteroaryl-5,6-dihydro-1,3,5-triazine-2,4-diamines

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2020
An efficient one-pot synthesis of N2-(tetrazol-5-yl)-6-aryl/heteroaryl-1,3,5-triazine-2,4-diamine derivatives was developed by reacting 5-amino-1,2,3,4-tetrazole with aromatic aldehydes and cyanamide in pyridine under controlled microwave heating with ...

The plausibility of origins scenarios requiring two impactors [PDF]

open access: yes
Hydrogen cyanide delivered by cometary impactors can be concentrated as ferrocyanide salts, which may support the initial stages of prebiotic chemistry on the early Earth. One way to achieve the conditions required for a variety of prebiotic scenarios, requiring for example the formation of cyanamide and cyanoacetylene, is through the arrival of a ...

Hydrogen cyanamide poisoning: multiple microscopic analyses evidence of forensic entomotoxicology succession on decomposing covered/uncovered rat carrions

open access: yesEgyptian Journal of Forensic Sciences
Background Forensic entomotoxicology is a crucial field that studies the effects of drugs and poisons on carrion-feeding insects, particularly in crime investigations. Hydrogen cyanamide, a plant growth regulator, is hazardous and used in agriculture but

8-Quinolylguanidinium chloride

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E, 2008
The title compound, C10H11N4+·Cl−, has been synthesized by the reaction of 8-aminoquinoline and cyanamide. The dihedral angle between the plane of the guanidine group and the quinoline ring system is 68.64 (13)°.
