The complete chloroplast genome of Cycas bifida, an extremely small population protected species
Cycas bifida (Dyer) K.D.Hill (2004) is an extremely small population-protected species of China. In this study, we reported the first chloroplast genome sequence of C. bifida. The chloroplast genome of C.

The divergence process of incipient species is fascinating but elusive by incomplete lineage sorting or gene flow. Species delimitation is also challenging among those morphologically similar allopatric species, especially when lacking comprehensive data.

Patterned sequence in the transcriptome of vascular plants [PDF]
Background Microsatellites (repeated subsequences based on motifs of one to six nucleotides) are widely used as codominant genetic markers because of their frequent polymorphism and relative selective neutrality.

ABSTRACT Aim To investigate the ecological and evolutionary mechanisms driving biodiversity in the Indo‐Malayan hotspots, with a particular focus on the roles of ancient hybridisation and historical climate in shaping species diversity. Location The Indo‐Malayan realm, particularly the Western Ghats‐Sri Lanka and Indo‐Burma biodiversity hotspots.

Elemental Profiles in Cycas micronesica Stems [PDF]
Essential nutrients and metals have been quantified in stems of many tree species to understand the role of stems as storage and source organs. Little is known about stored stem resources of cycad tree species. Cycas micronesica tissue was collected from apical and basal axial regions of stems; and pith, vascular, and cortex tissues were separated into

Patterns of Tree Species Abundance and Diversity on Urban Sidewalks in Macapá, Amapá, Brazil
This study presents the first systematic inventory of street trees in Macapá, Northeastern Brazilian Amazon. Results reveal a dominance of exotic and fruit‐bearing species, low tree density, and a replacement of large canopy trees by smaller ones, indicating potential losses in ecosystem services and the need for more biodiversity‐focused afforestation
